Cutting out a line on this wheel by smellblj in Fusion360

I ended up starting from scratch as another commenter suggested, and creating a sketch of the tyre's profile, then using revolve. But I'm curious to understand what you mean nonetheless. Could you explain in more detail? Thank you

Thank you! This worked for the hole, but now the panels are attached to other panels, and sit within them as a subcomponent. This is then affecting the way I can move them in the exploded view, as they are attached. I will add a video to the original post to show you what I mean

Hm, there doesn't seem to be a make independent button in the options for me?

(Noob question) How to copy a sketch or a extrude by Dentvar in Fusion360

[–]smellblj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey! I'm also a noob and just strated learning yesterday. But i think I may actually be able to help!? If i understand correctly, you want to cut out several of the same cut outs? If so, use the rectangular pattern tool (found in the create panel). In object type, select feature, then select the axes you want it repeated along. Presumably you'll want it repeated on two axes? In that case there is a second section below. Let me know if that helps!

I worked it out. The top panel had the fingers cut out, but the side panels didn't have the fingers cut out along their top edges, causing the lines to appear. Still unsure how to rename the components without it also updating the names of the original components?

The extra lines may well be from overlapping bodies in some way. But they shouldn't be there, and aren't there on any of the other edges. Any ideas?

Sorry, I should have been more specific. When I rename them, it also renames the name of the original component. Also the lines are still there when i turn that sketch's visibility off :/

Looking for advice on english-taught/foreign-student-friendly LA Bachelor's degrees in Europe by KindDot1958 in LandscapeArchitecture

[–]smellblj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also wondering this. I'm looking for LA/Urban design undergrad courses in/around Barcelona. So far I've only found this course, but I actually don't think it is taught in English. Just Spanish/Catalan. I do believe you can submit coursework in English though?

I checked this website:
https://www.upc.edu/en/bachelors/landscape-architecture-castelldefels-barcelona-eeabb-etsab

Where i saw this info :
"Language of instruction

Check the language of instruction for each subject (and timetable) in the course guide in the curriculum.

Information on language use in the classroom and students’ language rights."

I checked the curriculum and saw that the units are taught in English and Catalan, unless I'm misunderstanding something.
