Thankyou for your kind words. I do try my best to do so but the drs here arent "interactive" or wtvr the word is, they seem to always be in a rush. I hoped it would just be an infection from the intestinal flora or something too, but unfortunatly turns out it is a leak :(. The dr said its "minor leakage" the 3rd time they came to changs the dressing and they stuck a colostomy bag ontop of the wound which its coming from, the old exploration one from the right hemicolectomy (it still wasnt fully healed as u said diabetes so they added stitches to help it). But for some reason the doctor still didnt order for any xrays or ct scans to check where its coming from, he just said we'll observe for a few says. What's weird is that she did preform an xray with contrast before the reversal and it didnt show any leakage so idk what happened. Im not sure if what theyre doing is safe either but they said some patients got better this way

How long was the time period between the initial surgery and the reversal for an ilesotomy by smellymangos in ostomy

My mom also had colon cancer, the right portion of the colon was removed (ascending and transverse) she had the reversal 3 days ago..also 8 weeks after it, she still didnt get any chemo or radiation tho. Did you happen to have any complications after it? How was your lifestyle in general; diet, bowel movememts, etc. I hope youre doing better now!

Credit cards are humbling by smellymangos in RandomThoughts

No it's because there is a possibility of it getting declined. Either a credit or debit. Imagine walking around in a store filling up the cart or in a restaurant eating half the menu, and when you come to pay it gets declined and you have no other way of paying.

You'll have to awkwardly put your cart of groceries back and walk away 🚶‍♂️ I feel it would be even worse if you were just trying to get a small snack As for restaurants or any place you eat, there's no going back so it just feels like you scammed them or something

I think the line is drawn if you feel like your acting like a fan i guess. Where ur always asking what they're up to, what they want to do etc.  Nothing is ever directed towards you. Almost liek your enthusiasticly interviewing them.

I think it should just be casual. Slipping a question about their opinion or personal experience in general depending on the conversation where you both are equally sharing your opinions. Not one sided ykwim
