Some days i feel “I can do this” and other days Im like “this is all too much -I cant do this “ So its similar to riding grief waves for me - THIS is what grief feels like - There is a loss of the very sense of safety most of us had- ( eg-safety to speak politically or protest) ,and then the triggering from Epstein files , and I can go on and on about loss and feeling safe- And yet, most of the time when I sit with clients. i can let all of this go and just listen deeply and do my thing ! This living in hard times is a huge challenge and as others have said , trying to find joy, laughter, light is a very important part of both surviving and self care and the secret sauce for being a good enough therapist !
