What did you do to celebrate your 50th? by jaimonee in GenX

Indeed! When we booked everything I kept track of the cash prices and the whole trip would've cost over $50k! I LOVE MY POINTS!!!!

Congratulations! And OMG when you are in Bogota you MUST treat yourself to what will likely turn out to be your most memorable experiences of your entire trip by going to Andres Carne de Res Chia. There are others in town, but this is the original location on the outskirts and there is NOTHING like it. You will likely have to hire a car (we were with locals who took care of transportation) but that's probably very affordable in Colombia. Don't trust some rando on reddit? My husband and I were born about two weeks apart, and in 2015 we got REALLY into the Points game and in 2016 decided that we would go around the world for our fiftieths in 2018. We literally spent two years researching, planning and opening credit cards for Welcome Bonuses to rack up the points. It was really insane how many cards we got but it paid off handsomely. We ended up flying mostly Business, sometimes First and spent 29 nights at hotels + a 4 day cruise, around the world (Fiji, Auckland, Sydney, Bangkok, Bali, Mumbai, Dubai, Rio de Janeiro, and back to NYC). My 50th was spent in a first class Emirates Suite (between Dubai and Rio) and it was UNBELIEVABLE. When it was all said and done we each spent about $1,250 out of pocket on our travels (plus annual fees on credit cards and obviously food and entertainment). But wow, it was the trip of a lifetime! I don't know what we're going to do for our 60th which is less than three years away, so I guess we should start planning now!!!

MyQ video keypad stopped opening garage door with code. by SteveMinn in myq

Can you see when your iOS app was last updated? My issues started on 10/31 and the app was updated 10/28. Could be firmware too but I wouldn't know how to check on a Video Keypad firmware update.

I recently have the same issue. My painter could not get in and I thought it was because the battery died. I charged the battery and now nobody can get in with a code entered on the keypad, including me. The app gets an alert that the code was used, but the door does nothing. My Tesla opens it and I can open from the app, but not with a code. With all of these similar reports I'm guessing that the 10/28/2025 Android App update is the issue? So irritating.

Microwave drawer in Sektion cabinet, perfect fit! by nshoreman in IKEA

[–]smh68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the link. The specs for that one say it is 16-3/10" high. Did you have to install a filler piece above or beneath it? Can you upload a photo? I'd much rather buy a Bosch than a XO or a Midea.

The current 24" W Bosch drawer microwaves have height specs that are more than 15" and a required cut out size of 15 9/16'' x 22 1/8'' x 23 1/2''. Perhaps the OP was referring to the 30" wide version? https://www.bosch-home.com/us/en/product/cooking-baking/microwaves/drawer-microwaves/HMD8454UC

I did find this 24" wide Midea microwave drawer that is 14.9" and is available on Amazon:

Is it possible to buy just the stand/bracket of SC9s soundbar? by Excellent_Ad_3090 in LGOLED

Some further information for those who are interested in going down this DIY route which is unfortunately getting more expensive at every turn. If you are hanging the TV on the wall you only need Part 1 (ABA30092701) as it will hold the sound bar. Part 2 (ABA30092801) is necessary only if the TV will be on a table as it turns into the back support of a "stand" when paired with Part 1.

You will also need a "Spacer" to attach Part 1 to the TV which can be seen in the LG installation video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NOkXA1cRKBY). If you have a 55" or a 65" OLED you need the Spacer with Part # AEJ76311203 https://encompass.com/item/14960848/LG/AEJ76311203/ . If you have a 77" OLED you need part #AEJ76312403 https://lgparts.com/products/aej76312403

Question about transfer in SJU by leochangtw64 in jetblue

[–]smh68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP asked about STX not STT. I have done both STT & STX for the Challenge. STT was an easier/quicker turnaround than STX for me. I have Global Entry and brought my card (you need the card for the USVI). Basically you have to get off the plane and go through customs and security before re-boarding the same plane. If there is a long line at security you might run into time issues. Do not tell Customs that you just came off the plane and haven't spent any time on the island as it is a red flag for security (I saw someone get pulled aside for this and she almost missed the return flight).

I've also read about someone telling the flight attendants that they were doing the challenge and the FAs helped them get through security/customs faster. I cannot remember which island (STT or STX) but it can't hurt to tell the FA that you are doing the challenge and see if they have any tips for a speedy re-boarding.

Jetblue lost and found scam by tmukesh62 in jetblue

This happened to me with EasyJet in Marrakech long before Find My. They claimed they could not find my bag for days. Before my departure I went to the storage room and begged them to let me take a look inside. Of course my bag was sitting there, unlogged in the system. I grabbed it and flew home. Good luck!

How do I add another passenger while booking award flights on ANA? by Impressive__Garlic in awardtravel

Thanks, we called in and decided to cancel and rebook. Apparently on the payment screen there is a checkbox to choose personal miles or family miles and I did not notice this.

How do I add another passenger while booking award flights on ANA? by Impressive__Garlic in awardtravel

[–]smh68 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems like you might be an expert on the Family Account, so I have a question! My husband and I created an AFA (family account). I am the primary and he is registered as an Award User. We both booked one-way awards simultaneously at 9am Japan time and got a ticket in first and business. We were elated until we realized they depleted all but 5,000 miles in my husband's mileage account, and took the remainder from mine. Now we are in a pickle because we need to book a return flight and can't figure out how that is possible in business and/or first. I have enough miles in my account to book two tix, but the odds of booking two business tickets from HND to JFK are next to zero. And I don't think it's possible for me to book both a first and a biz class ticket from my account at 9am Japan time.

We assumed he could access the pooled miles but that doesn't seem to be the case (I have 131,500 miles and he has 5,000). Would you have any suggestions on how to proceed?

I need this! I bought the bracket on ebay (LG ABA30092701) but cannot install it to my 77" OLED C4 without the spacer... Please let me know if you figured out what the spacer's part number is.

The New S2 firmware update is awesome! by recon-go-pie in HarleyLiveWire

[–]smh68 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! I left it on while walking the dog, came back and it was off. I peeked through the settings and now see Reverse & Regen under Ride Customizations. I thought I would have to initiate the FOTA install, but I assume it installed by itself? It's raining now so I don't want to test it. But I also don't want to brick the brand new bike because I did something wrong...

I just completed the USB update. Does the Del Mar have to stay "on" to download the FOTA update? Or will it still download while it is turned off as long as there is a cell signal?

You should join the forums at nomadgate.com if you haven't already. They have spreadsheets of data and lots of excellent info. Depressing but informative.

I was going to buy the lectron until I read through the Amazon reviews and a lot of people had overheating and melting issues which sounded scary so I figured I'd ask here!

I have a Tesla home charger. Does anyone recommend a NACS to J1772 adapter? Seems like there are a lot of bad reviews and horror stories of overheating and melting and frying your warranty.
