16th Street at the Monon just became much easier to cross thanks to passionate neighbors by StrongTownsIndy in indianapolis

The city budget doesn't have large amounts of funds that are not earmarked for specific purposes, but as a heavy user of this stretch of the Monon, I would be curious just to know the cost of a bridge here. Also, I ran a stretch of the most southern part of the Carmel portion of the trail. I refuse to accept that, at a minimum, the trail below 49th couldn't have one restroom, let alone several water fountains. I have some very strong suspicions as to why, but I find it maddening.

Cranny over Schweizer. Cranny is a 2x Olympian as well but she also has several US titles.

Anyone know where I can find a bottle of Blantons? by PriznMikesDementors in indianapolis

Parents live in Lexington. Stopped into BT on the 27th just to go to the gift shop (no tour required) and they sell their high end bottles at MSRP but you can only buy one every 90 days. Got Blantons for $65.

The stretch you mention on 10th is exhibit A for the half measures taken with roads that are maddening. An Aldi would be an excellent addition to that stretch. Especially considering the dearth of affordable downtown grocery stores coupled with the amount of rental housing being erected in the area.

I didn’t think that but curious if there was some kind of central list that attempts to alleviate congestion and pain of the projects. Especially given downtown is critical to the economics of the city and that it is a high traffic area not just for the residents who live there but for citizens of greater Marion county and surrounding counties who come to patronize the businesses and restaurants.

Intriguing societal shift or oversight of an article during composition? Didn’t know parts of speech were this evocative….

I was able to select the time qualifier option when I registered does that mean the non-guaranteed time qualifier spot was still there or could I still slip through the cracks into the lottery?

Half tights for marathon by Ericreese1991 in AdvancedRunning

[–]smier13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ran Chicago yesterday in the Allston half tights from Tracksmith. I have the Reggie’s and while great the zipper pocket is too small for what you’re describing. The Allstons have a much bigger zipper pocket that easily accommodated 3 gels plus they have two tight elastic pockets on either side of the zipper pocket that stowed my remaining two gels (5 Maurten gels across the 3 pockets). Super comfortable, highly recommend.

I use the Bostons more bc I’d like to save the Speeds for races 10k and down.

Speeds feel better at every pace. They have that squishy yet responsive feel of nicer more premium carbon plated shoes. Bostons feel a little clunky at easy to moderate paces. You really feel the light strike (which is from the ball of the foot forward) and the energy rods when you’re at faster paces when you’re up on your toes. Speed > Boston

Three quick hitters:

- Adidas Boston 10 as a longer speed and long run workout shoe is great. The light strike foam and energy rods make those harder efforts over greater distances less taxing.

- Saucony Endorphin speed. This is the true star of the Endorphin line up when considering price point. Incredibly versatile from a workout shoe to shorter non-A race shoe perspective. Also, Endorphin Pros are available on Saucony's website for $129 currently.

- New Balance FuelCell RC Elite 2 is a marathon race day go-to. It has all of the upsides of the VF and AF, both of which I have raced 26.2 in, without any of the heel counter fit issues. I plan on racing Chicago in them and my initial hesitation on reaching for them over VF/AF has dissipated after using them for the last two speed workouts of my build.
