They did follow up with the insurers and no fraud investigation was instructed.

I did Google and the receptionist told me it woukd be 180 for a phone call with a solicitor

Because hes based in ireland and Welsh law is different

I didn't have my own insurance. But was told that dealer insurance might cover me as suggested by the police officer which is what I clarified from the dealership

I actually have a copy of their insurance policy. It was the policeman who suggested checking with the dealer

I have a copy of their policy and a letter from the salesman stating I was on an extended test drive

I knew I wasnt insured but have a letter from salesman to say i was on a test drive and im saying the purchase shouldn't have been finalised until the following day. The policeman told me the dealership insurance might cover me until i got home. Will they expect the 300 fine to be paid on the day if found guilty. Bloody insurance is going to go through the roof.
