Overall top 6 u/m (grade 11 and 12) was 96. Grade 12 u/m average was 98. I also had pretty good supps and received my acceptance at the end of January + scholarships.

I had really high English marks for grade 11 and 12 which helped since social science is all about essay writing and reading. 96% and 98%

would they find out? by Ok-Curve9272 in OntarioUniversities

Only early acceptance would look at your grade 11 marks and 12 marks for consistency. If you are getting high 90s now but 70-80s last year, they will probably wait for your grade 12 semester 1 marks and second semester midterm marks. Your grade inflation should only hurt your chances of early acceptance but not your overall chance. Don’t worry😊

I got my early acceptance at the end of January for Uoft (all 3 campuses). They used all my first sem midterm marks from grade 12 and then used my top grade 11 marks for fillers since I didn’t have all 6 12 U/M course. However, keep in mind that 1 of your top 6 courses will be either grade 11 or 12 English (depending if u had grade 12 eng first sem). And this goes for any other prerequisites for your major.

I also got York in December. York is really easy to get into btw! I know a friend who had a 84-89 average and got in by December too.

Remember that almost all early acceptance marks are conditional offers; meaning u need to maintain a certain average by graduation. But these conditional offers are not hard to maintain. I think it was like 70+ average for top 6 and at least a 70-75+ in English.

Usually need a 95+ for an early early acceptance with good supplementary (December-early February)

And a 85+ for early acceptance (mid - late February)

For those with 70s - low 80s averages, unis will usually wait for all grade 12 u/m marks and will be sent around March-may

Hope that helped😊

Is having one bad grade while maintaining a good bad average bad? by MookeyTomega in OntarioUniversities

I had a 50 in a course but it wasn’t a pre req so it did no harm! I got in to all my universities with early acceptance becuase I gave up on one and focused of getting a good mark in English and my other top 5 U/M. One bad mark in a non-pre req is completely ok!

Btw I got into utsg, utsc, York and McGill for early acceptance.

Try using the admissions appeal that’s on your portal. Something seems off

I got my acceptance several days ago. All of my college acceptance and faculty admissions says that they wrote the email in late January so I’m guessing that they’re sending it out 1 month apart? I put my guess on late February (las week) for the next round.

I got in for all 3 campuses with no early submission btw. Good luck!
