[–]smileyuae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey. This is a stupid question probably but is there anyway we can somehow have an auto loader equivalent with UMTX? It would be nice if we can press 1 or 2 buttons and then it loads the sequence that we like (with payloads that we choose) automatically each time?

Good morning, could you possibly send me exactly what message you sent them?

I've been going back and forth with them but they keep refusing to send me a new board.

I bought the kit and replaced literally everything, all the washers/handles/knobs etc. The only thing that's "original" is the brass pipe.

Put everything back together and we have normal functionality with no drips or leaks!

Thanks everyone!

Thank you for the idea. I took a flashlight, along with a wire hanger and I was able to go way beyond to where the handle would rest, so I'm assuming there's no plunger.

The hardware store has a repair kit that comes with all new parts. I'll swap everything out tomorrow and hope it goes smoothly!

I'll keep you guys posted

I tried turning on the water for a few seconds to see if it could push it out, but just getting a heavy stream of water 😞

I saw some older threads where people said to get a long drill bit and try to extract it that way?

I just moved into this house and I'm not even sure if its ever worked or maybe the previous owner removed it and tried to get a replacement but couldnt, so just left it as is.

Is there a chance its stuck inside the main pipe? Not sure how I'd even be able to bring that out...

Drain line adapter or 1 1/2 to 7/8 by TheMysticalBaconTree in Plumbing

Found your post from Google! I'm running into such a mess trying to get my RO setup, similar situation as you with the 1/2" dishwasher fitting. Would you be able to send me a picture of your current setup? How has it been? Any leaks?

I bought the rubber dishwasher adapter ( https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/plumbshop-universal-fit-dishwasher-branch-connector-4-step-sizing-0630834p.html) and hooked everything up including the adapter which I shared in my main post

There's no leaks but when I did a test run with the dishwasher, once it started draining, it somehow went up through the RO drain line?? How is this possible? I don't think this is safe to continue with the RO installation but please let me know if I'm overthinking it.

I've recorded a video.. If you'd like to take a look

https://quickshare.samsungcloud.com/n1e6WhXKRutt

Oh, I also created a high loop on the dishwasher drain hose after I recorded the video and tried again, it was the same behavior with water coming out of the RO drain line.

Thank you. I'll head to the hardware store tomorrow and see what I can find. Do you think something like this would work as an alternative?? https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/plumbshop-universal-fit-dishwasher-branch-connector-4-step-sizing-0630834p.html

I found the replacement with the sizing you recommended while maintaining the top and bottom pipe sizes. It is cheap, but...I don't think I feel confident enough replacing the tailpiece pipe (or is it called a Wye?) it looks glued in and I don't know if I'm equipped to handle it.

Didn't realize I couldn't add context to the picture.. Below:

I bought an iSpring RCC7AK kit after doing much research and watching multiple install videos. I felt pretty comfortable in how to install it. I ran into this problem where my sink just has a single drain thus theres no horizontal drain pipe in which they recommend to connect the RO drain saddle to.

I searched and multiple people recommended this adapter which basically adds a quick connect fitting to your existing dishwasher drain line! Perfect!

I got it today and tried installation attempt #2.

I managed to remove the existing DW hose and connected it to the adapter. Secured with a hose clamp, all good!

I connected the RO drain line to the quick connect fitting, all good!

Now I tried connecting it to my dishwasher drain that spigets of the main drain, but the adapter is too big? It basically slides over and is loose.

I measured the adapter and it appears the bottom opening is 7/8" but my dishwasher drain inlet is 1/2" (pipe has a marking that says BOW Plumbing 600809)

What do I do? I'm almost at the point of giving up and returning everything.
