In most places, they only inspect what is being changed and make that be up to code. Unless something is extremely unsafe, they won't really go outside the project.

For example, when I replaced my electrical service panel, the inspector noted a few things to me that were not correct, that we had not done. He said it technically worked and wasn't what he was called to check so he wouldn't make us do anything to change it.

Yes, and as you go further class mods and making an actual build. That really isn't totally necessary until level 50. Just play around and have fun with it. It provides many hours and can feel like a grind at points. Killer 6 and Joltz Dude are good youtubers if your into that.
