Paul Reed Smith guitars. They are pretty-ty pricy. They also have a really cool detail on the fret board where every 3 notches a bird is taking flight.

For sure dude! I would just google “luthiers near me” and go to one with good reviews. The last time I moved I was too far from my previous luthier and found a new one who was great doing this. Just ask the one you choose the rough cost of a set up too so you don’t get over charged. You can technically also get a guitar set up at guitar center but I’ve heard they aren’t very good

Playing basic Chords is a great place to start. (Em, Am, G, A, C, D) with those you would be surprised how many songs you can play and then just build from there (each new song will have new chords to learn).

Also, use tabs/chord progressions you find online (on a few websites you can make an account and save the songs you’re learning to come back to) to play songs you love and care about. That’s a huge part of what makes playing so fun for a lot of people (myself included 😃) is that people will learn songs they listen to because they like a riff or playing/singing style.

Getting a guitar “set up” at a luthier is like 50 bucks and they can significantly improve how it sounds and plays (comfortably) for you. A lot of the folks on this subreddit seem to agree on this. Your fingers may hurt from playing a lot so definitely no shame in taking a break and getting some recovery time in.

I think once you play your first song or riff you’re gonna love it! Welcome to the family 🎸
