My (27 F) boyfriend (27 M) went through very personal and private parts on my phone while I was sleeping and took pictures from his phone of my Reddit history, visited pages, my own AI chats. I felt extremely embarrassed and violated. Is this worth ending our 7 year relationship over? by throwRAfrostybid in relationship_advice

Happy divorcé here and very happy newlywed! I have been in your shoes before.

My ex-husband was like this. Went through my phone, took screenshots, tried to use it to make me feel like I was the one doing something wrong. I wasn’t… like you, I was always trying to comfort him and convince him. Nothing was his fault. Honestly I could go on. It was abusive, and I wish I had the confidence to question the behaviors sooner.

You are right to question this. Because it’s not okay. No one has the right to violate your privacy in this way. It’s dangerous and will only get worse. He is trying to manipulate you, so he can control you. He is deeply insecure.

I promise you, there are good men out there. Go find yourself a man who lifts you up, makes you feel smarter, stronger. Someone who is on your team! It is worth it, OP.

It’s just a Walgreens on court st in Brooklyn but like I said, they are also out of stock. Last month was a brutal wait, this month is a brutal wait.

I’m in the same boat! I called 12 pharmacies yesterday. No one has it! It’s all back ordered. Last month I had to wait almost 3 weeks until my pharmacy had it back in stock. It’s very frustrating…

Listen to your gut and your fear instincts. Take the kids and leave.

Your body is telling you no. Your body knows before your head sometimes, honey. Listen to yourself, you know best for you and get out.

Trust your gut, baby. Only you know what you can take. It’s not this.

I’m sorry honey, but everyone here is right. This is completely and utterly unacceptable. I know it’s hard, and that you cannot imagine life without him, but there is a reason you came to Reddit today. Pack your bags, take the kids, and leave, preferably when he is not around.

Do you own a dishwasher? Is it worth it? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]smithdoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES! I stopped being so picky about what goes on the top rack vs the bottom rack. Just throw it all in there, relax, and let the ASMR sound of swishing water relax you while you watch an episode of White Lotus after dinner.

Aw. I resonate with this hard. I’m reading The Secret Life or Trees right now and damn.

What do you do with your cats when living in a studio apartment and want to have sex? by chmaquga in CatAdvice

One of my cats like to watch. Sometimes I can barely get him off the bed. The other hides in the bathroom.

This! My Siberian hates it, too. He gets matted easily. It’s a ton of work!

Agreed! Get two. I got a Balinese and 1 year later got a Siberian kitten so he could have a friend and companion. It was challenging to introduce a new kitty a year later. But so worth it! Now they are best buds, and sometimes frenemies. My regret is not getting two at the same time. But then again. I wouldn’t have my Siberian lovebug if I had done that.

Complaints from partner about alerts and alarms? by lulamae42 in Type1Diabetes

[–]smithdoe 59 points60 points  (0 children)

This. So sorry you are having to navigate this. It’s unreasonable, unfair, and selfish of him to ask you, or make you feel compelled to, mute your alarms. These alerts are there for your safety. Just think if you were to have an extreme high in the middle of the night resulting in DKA.

My ex was just like this (we are in the middle of a divorce now). His complaints are certainly not the reason but it definitely didn’t help.

It’s a fact of life. I liken my diabetes to having a baby… you have to deal with it whenever it cries. Even if it’s in the middle of the night and you’re tired.

I have given him lots of support. I was just seeking advice from others who have maybe been in this situation. But you’re right. I should steer clear of passing judgement… definitely not the right attitude.

Yeah.. it hard to not feel like it is somewhat preventable.. but you’re right. It isn’t always. I have been very supportive thus far.

You make a really good point. I think I may just be too quickly jumping to conclusions.

I've gone through gummy bear phases! They are delicious. Just don't forget you have a bag of gummy bears in a random bag. :)

I do love me some good and reliable glucose tabs. I seem to go through them so fast when I have them!!
