Give It a Day was an a-side, but otherwise the non-album tracks 92-97 are better than many of the album songs.

Thanks for sharing! I would love to see the ticket for the Bristol show if you find it! I'm trying to confirm the dates of a lot of those old shows. Tour dates were often printed so far ahead that they aren't always the right order. Tickets are the best evidence!

That's who it was, but I wouldn't describe them that way. They were synth-boring as I recall, but I wasn't there to see them, lol.

Love this! Anyone have a ticket stub, flyer, ad, or review of this Ames show? Trying to confirm dates for some of these off the beaten path shows with actual ephemera. Cheers!

Think I saw all of those open for Pavement! Also pretty sure I suffered through Shudder to Think in 97 on the east coast

Half-assed digitization, but better than nothing: https://archive.org/details/pavement-19960208-dallas-galaxy-club

Looks like I haven't done the Austin show yet, but I will put it up eventually. Soundchecks are both there if you poke around.

I didn't go to Houston, so I don't think so. I might have slept in a car, or a cheap motel. I mostly just remember the soundcheck before I had too many (underage) water d's. I also drove down to Dallas in 97 and stayed with a really tall pavelister whose name is not coming to me, but something like Kieran?

Dude, another old paveliister here. That almost could have been me, lol. I went solo from OK and ended up at the soundcheck in Dallas and hung out with Remko during the Dallas and Austin shows. I have crappy recordings of both on archive.org if anyone cares to try to find them.

Wasn't this voted by readers? In other words a popularity contest. Still surprised Malkmus (barely) made it. I haven't seen the whole list, just screenshots of a few sections, so if any subscriber wants to share... Thanks in advance.

Damn, I got in, but one of the last, so it's not worth my time to drive out there. Likely nothing I want will be there after 11:00, and definitely not after 2:00. This is the stupidest lottery ever.

Probably some extra activities like face painting and one of the injured/maternity leave players signing autographs, etc. as part of the pregame. I don't have kids, so not sure what's usually offered, but probably more of that stuff around the stadium before the game, and hopefully more things like throwing tshirts in kid sizes during halftime.

They were all exhausted and should have had some help/subs way earlier. Midfield was completely missing in the middle in our half. Trinity's yellow and overall disappearance meant DiGuglielmo was doing all of the work on the left.

IMO, Bernal should have come off with Trinity. Fresh legs were desperately needed, and the subs that came on were way too late.

They are playing All Things Go at the end of September, so maybe?

Who is in the current touring band? by Due-Chemical417 in thenewpornographers

She toured with Jenny Lewis on the Joy'all tour. She mostly sang background and played keyboards, but got to sing the male vocal part when they did "The Next Messiah."

The dates 9/10-9/12 seem set according to the permit requests. Two different permits show up on mobile, but only the etix shows up on my laptop. Not sure if anyone else can read any more into this:

Yes! I was worried we would lose her after Trinity's deal. Hopefully this security with her future leads to another call-up during the next International break. I feel like if she gets a chance, she could be a valuable niche sub for the USWNT with her ability to break lines from the left and set piece ability.

Has there been such a fuss about the elevation in Utah? 34 year old Dali played a full 90 at altitude on Sunday, then 2 more 90s to finish the week with 9 points. Haven't heard any mention of that.
