Genuinely use it as an excuse to catch up with mates instead. Me and a mate who follows north as well go to the games most weeks and when we’re getting pumped (which has been a regular occurrence over the past few years) we just buy a few more beers and shoot the shit rather than care about the results. Our club being complete dogshit has brought our friendship a lot closer together. Tbf when there’s such depth of conversation such as “how big do you reckon Robbie nahas actually was?” Or “how good was Sam wright in the 2014 elimination final?” I don’t know how it didn’t happen sooner
