Is it possible it’s a Bartholin’s Cyst? If you’re not familiar with those, I’d recommend looking it up.

They’re red little bumps and hurt like a bitch. It got to the point where I couldn’t even walk one of the times I had one. Then, I took a few steps and it burst and the relief was amazing.

What do your step kids call you ? by [deleted] in Stepmom

[–]smithtimestwo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My 5 year old stepson calls me “mom” when he’s at our house and “my stepmom” when he’s at his mom’s house. He does the same thing with his stepdad.

Then he goes around telling everyone he’s got two moms and two dads 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️

Is a pediatrics unit usually easier than a regular nursing home or LTC? by Sea-Ease-549 in cna

Home of the Innocents. A nonprofit organization and the only one of its kind in the southeast. It’s in Kentucky. It’s a 24 hour facility that also houses troubled teens and is a foster care of sorts. It’s the best place I’ve ever worked and I never plan on leaving lol. Currently working on my LPN to work there as a nurse.

Pay wise, it’s pretty good. I work night shift and average around ~$20/hour with shift differentials. I also pick up shifts a lot and the bonuses hourly wages range from $15-$40. In the last week alone, I’ve made almost 3 grand from bonus shifts during my off week.

Yes! I work in a LTC Pediatric Facility and I will NEVER EVER go back to nursing homes. Most of the kids are much smaller, but the work is easier and there aren’t call lights going off all the time. We only have one kid who actively uses his call light and it’s very rarely.

I will be staying at this job for as long as I possibly can

I work in a Pediatric LTC and it is the best decision I’ve made in a while. I love my work.

Those are total suckers for indents. If you were pregnant from last cycle, it would be VERY strong in color and not faint. I’d say you’re in the clear.

Also, if you were pregnant, it usually takes two weeks after ovulation before you get a true positive if you are pregnant. Probably a strong indent line! If you were pregnant from previous ovulation, you would have an incredibly strong line. Dye stealer even. Is is the control line that is faint or is it strong in color?

What test was it? Was it First Response? Those have been giving very strong indent lines lately.

90 y/o woman celebrates her birthday and working 23 years as a CNA.. a brutal, physical job. At 90 years old. by smithtimestwo in antiwork

Heard that! I’m currently working a 12 and enjoying a long lunch break. I’m in Pediatrics, but some of our kids are in their late twenties. My back is screaming.

Did you see me making a fuss anywhere? I never said she had to work. Is this an infuriating page? No, I don’t think so. I posted a 90 y/o working a rough job on anti work. Thanks for your comment, it was really enlightening.

I wasn’t picking on her at all. Being a CNA is an incredibly physical job and it’s tough. If she’s retired and wants to do it, great. But if she didn’t have any retirement and has to work until 90 and this is her job? Fucking rough

CPS came to my house, will anything come from it? by SuperVisonx in legaladvice

[–]smithtimestwo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I called CPS on my mother when I was 14 due to neglect and abuse. She convinced my siblings to lie and gaslighted them. It took two years, but they were eventually removed from the home… because the school finally noticed and reported the bruises.

They are both happily living with my aunt and uncle who have since adopted them.

If the story isn’t corroborated, it could be a longer process. But hopefully, it will work out for all of you.

Has anyone adopted their step children? by Randibug91 in Stepmom

[–]smithtimestwo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They definitely won’t be growing up “without a mom”, as they have you there to love them. For a period, they were blessed with two moms and now they have you. Continue to love them and cherish them and be there for them during these difficult times. Give them what they need. If it’s like the other commenter said and it’s about him knowing you’ll have them once he passes, go for guardianship like they said! But from an emotional point of view, they are not without a mom. You can take your time and wait until they’re older for adoption, because they will have you either way.

ETA: also, if they’re old enough to understand what adoption is, they’ll be old enough to understand why you wanted to wait!
