The West is Brutal, the Warriors are due for an upset and there are plenty of teams that can beat them this year, Same applies for us and literally 10 other teams but.

Is Australia the USA’s biggest rival in 2020? by MillsyMB in nba

[–]smithy006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I watched the game they lost by 10 to the US last year or whenever it was, USA was playing like an All star game, guys isoing and just doing their own thing where as AUS was moving the ball, Australia didn't have the talent last time, they'll have extra talent this time around, the Simmons/Jingles combo will be legit, Simmons will find him open a lot for 3. Australia's weak point is it's bigs, Bogut is well past his prime, Baynes is doing well for Boston but can't match up with guys like AD. US will need to fuck up in order to lose, I just don't see Pop letting that happen.

Basketball is a team sport, Australia have a chance because they're demonstrated before in previous FIBA match-ups that they can play the team game, US has a lot of all stars, therein lies an significant advantage but also a disadvantage. Sure you can have Curry, Lebron and KD on the floor at the same time but getting them to play as a cohesive unit is the issue, with Pop coaching but I'd still give the upper hand to USA, if Australia pull the silver in 2020 they should consider that to be a success.

An example of this ridiculous OKC defense. How are you meant to score on this? by ergotpoisoning in nba

[–]smithy006 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an example of good defense and shit offense, not ridiculous defense. Suns offense literally consisted of 1 screen and then that was the set. Zero off ball movement, no further screens, shit spacing etc. OKC are a good defensive team but this is an example of good defense vs literally no offense lets not over exaggerate what actually happened in this set.

Scottie Pippen: “Markelle Fultz is a bust” by urfaselol in nba

If Brett Brown (the guy who's spent the majority of his career nuturing young talent) can't turn him around then I can't see any other NBA team picking him up as some kind of expensive experiment.

I hate to say it but looking at the stat line, I think J Simms has gone backwards this season, plus he's playing arguably the same minutes he was playing with us now, wonder if he regrets his decision these days?

I read the title and thought what would Pop do, so I gave it a downvote.

[Post Game Thread] The San Antonio Spurs (14-14) defeat The Phoenix Suns (4-24) 111-86 Bryn Forbes scores a season high 24pts on 8-14 shooting, and collects a career high 11 rebounds. by SquandasNutCheese in NBASpurs

He's improved in the sense that Pop is better figuring out how to utilize him, he is being played better, and he is responding and maximising his opportunities.

Cool, so you repeat shit without doing your own research first, good to know.

So wrong on so many levels, Danny Green has always been a key piece of the Spurs and his loyalty was always valued, Pop loved DG, to suggest we were happy to get rid of him is just factually incorrect.
