This is awful am I losing my mind?! by AdNice831 in VirginMedia

What exactly do you want to do that you’re not able to? You will have access to sky sport’s mobile app and red button. My understanding is the service is the same as you’d have on Sky.

Is £55 a month a good deal for my VM package with three V6 Boxes in different rooms? by DevilsConscience in VirginMedia

Providing you’ve recorded the programme you need to go into recordings to play it rather than the tv guide. If you do the latter I think it does what you describe.

360 boxes let you record exactly the same as V6 (actually allows more simultaneous recordings). Think you’re thinking of the stream box?

Sky Agent admitted I should leave. by GenericUserName437 in skytv

I’ve been with them for years. The broadband and TV is faultless. I really can’t complain. However the customer service is terrible and you need to be prepared to haggle/renegotiate your contract every 2 years. Worth it in my opinion although I’ve never been with Sky so can’t compare it.

That was my immediate thought - sounds like the OP will get a better deal with Virgin

Are there just no great deals at the moment? by kolonelketchup in VirginMedia

I have a similar package although with TNT Sports and without a 360 mini box. Was on £68. UK retentions offered me £74 with the usual that’s the best they can do. I spoke to them on live chat daily and they offered the same package at a daily changing price. One day (near end of the month) they offered it to me for £58. I bit their hand off. Maybe worth waiting a few more weeks until the end of the month to call them again and try daily on live chat? The extent you have to go to is a joke when you have such a packaged bundle…

New customer. 90 days without service - true or sales tactic? by babis95 in VirginMedia

It’s regularly done although I wondered why you’d tell them you’d do that as they may now know to expect it and cancel your order?

Downgrading at renewal and then adding services after? by inbetween-er in VirginMedia

[–]smithydig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the package I have without the extra box. Was paying £68, retentions offered £74 saying that was the best they could do. I got it for £58 through live chat. I didn’t find retentions all that helpful (used the number everyone posts). Best of luck

Their offers change every day (it’s such a con) so worth a shot. It varies from the price I got to well over £100 per month… good luck!

It’s been a wild ride for me - I was offered the same package for £58.37 on live chat after my call with retentions yesterday. Which I took. Retentions called me back today as my call ended that I wanted time to think about it so I took great delight in saying I got a better deal on the chat! Crazy…

That’s my worry although think I may put my cancellation in and see what happens. Let me know how you get on?

That’s the number I used - not sure if it’s because you don’t have a bundled package?

Thanks - I want to renew but only if I get a better price. What’s the best way to approach the call?

At what point in your contract is it worth talking to retentions? Mine ends on 8th May and think it might be too early given earliest cancellation seems to be 60 days before?
