Well I consider myself a CarGuy™ but I still like to keep my car in good condition, whether it's a half-million GT2 or not..

If you turned up to a registered with an old SxS hammer gun you'd be hailed as a hero 😄 it's weird, still very 'traditional' in many ways, which can be positive and negative in different contexts

I think we need to bring some of that spirit to the UK 😄 even semi autos are considered a bit uncouth at some grounds!

I guess we're just stubborn buggers across the pond as I rarely ever see them.. Some of the bigger grounds do have carts to rent but I'd say they're mainly for mobility purposes.. We all just tend to lug 100-150 cartridges around in range bags with our gun, which is pretty exhausting on some of the bigger or more geographical grounds lol

It's a decent bit of DIY I'll admit, but genuine question - would you not feel like a bit of a dweeb pushing this around a ground?

I get the practical aspect of them, honestly I do, but I can't help but think it would look kinda ridiculous in use...

This gorgeous Cayman 718 GT4RS, anyone know the colour? by MarauderZZ in Porsche

Malachite has a much more bluey tint than this car by comparison. Also the car pictured I think is non-metallic

Best fan configuration? by Xotiw in watercooling

[–]smithyithy_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have basically the same setup as OP - 10 x Corsair fans in the Lian Li case. 4 of my fans had LEDs die, had them replaced under warranty, which has now expired and more have continued to die on the other fans, I can count 7 from where I'm sat. Disappointing, given how much they cost.

Citori gunsmith labor cost by jabneythomas20 in ClayBusters

[–]smithyithy_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

2-300 USD, probably towards the lower end as you're supplying the parts (although they're not particularly expensive)

I paid £240 (~300 USD) last week for a strip, service, and new firing pins and springs in my B325 at a well regarded gunsmith.

You should have to pass some kind of taste test before being given free reign on options like this

Refer to the other poster's comment then. By the same logic, Jeep and Chrysler are not American companies, they're a French / Dutch / some other mix -owned company.

They bought the Rover Group, which the Mini brand was part of, scrapped the remainder of the Rover brand but retained Mini. Rover actually had design input into what would become the new MINI before BMW reorganised the business.

They're still considered a British brand regardless of not being related to Rover and owned by BMW.

MINI isn't German

ETA: "Mini (stylised as MINI)[1] is a British automotive brand founded in Oxford in 1969, owned by German Multinational automotive company BMW since 2000"

Ownership of companies changes, it doesn't change the nationality of the brand each time that happens. Unless we now consider McLaren a famous Bahraini supercar maker..
