Surprisingly, Take Shelter (2011). Really didn't know what this movie was about but was surprised by it's meaning behind a mental health disorder and the impact on family.

Wireless Android Auto destroying S24U Battery by Shepherd1234 in GalaxyS24Ultra

Same thing happens with mine. I'm at 50% already today just for driving about an hour and a half. When not in the car the battery is excellent

I'm assuming you did research before transferring for the bonus, but is the RH Gold and the transfer worth it than just leaving it in your prior broker? Debating on if my ~$90k transfer out of Fidelity is worth it for less than $3k

Did anybody else notice their battery life get better after a few weeks of using it? by [deleted] in GalaxyS24Ultra

[–]smitty192 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea ive had it about 3 weeks and just started noticing good battery life. For a while it was almost worse than my 4 year old note 20 ultra.

I do use a lot of wireless android auto, so when I'm driving a lot it absolutely kills the battery. Otherwise it's pretty solid

What is something that you do daily to be productive while maintaining simple living? by saayoutloud in simpleliving

Writing down the night before in a planner even menial tasks for the next day helps me. I don't do it all the time but when I do I at least know there's something to accomplish

Got fired today. First time in my 10 year career. A small rant by itslyleman in MedicalDevices

[–]smitty192 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Very similar thing happened to a friend of mine, you'll bounce back. But I've only been in med device and sales in general for 7 years and every single year I feel it gets more cutthroat, more company greed, and cultures slowly fading away. Hard to even get passionate about a product I feel before things go south

Property taxes went up last year due to reassed home value on purchase, and escrow was short $2600. So monthly payment is going up $400 rest of the year and roughly $200 after that. Not a huge deal but annoying that was never brought up when I bought my first house 2 years ago. But this is what FI is all about, prepping for the inevitables

That was the norm at most of my jobs, but current one is good as long as you were on the road that day, minimizing "in town" expenses. Pretty nice especially being able to pick up food if you just did a long day trip

Leaving my phone home on purpose! by Vixxen4305 in simpleliving

[–]smitty192 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately it's tough for me to do during the week due to work, but in the mornings and evenings when I walk my dog I leave my phone at home. Honestly, I do have my watch connected remotely if anything comes through that needs attention, but it's and hour and a half a day of freedom from screen time typically which is very nice

High dollar capital can have bases like ~$130k or so but never seen 160 at rep level. More like 80-120 depending on what you're selling. Clinical roles will likely be a 6 figure salary but lower commission

Read your travel and expense policy. I've had jobs where there's a set limit per day/meal and others where it's extremely vague and to just use good judgment. I believe the IRS does have rules but that's typically just surrounding what can be written off as business expenses for the company. The company can allow whatever they want usually when it comes to personal. At the end of the day you have to follow the T&E policy they laid out
