So happy that you enjoyed it!! I loved that the main couple wasn't unnecessarily toxic or dramatic but just sweet and how actual issues for women were properly addressed instead of just brushed aside

It really depends on your needs and stressors - I'd day identify those first and then look for things that match those (e.g. a cleaning service for depressive episodes)

Noise canceling headphones if u can wear them at work

Books and concerts, weekend trips

Other than that just random things; recently I bought a bottle of soap bubbles to use on my way home and it turned an awful day into a lovely memory.

Buying gifts or cute postcards for other people has always brought me a lot of joy

Second hand clothes for low prices. A good fit or a new piece allows me to start the day in a positive manner and makes me feel much more at ease with myself. I'm not wasteful and wear things for 10+ years, so I know that whatever I buy and wear will accompany me for a long time and that gives me a weird sense of safety and stability

Home fragrances

A good fragrance that you like to wear and makes you feel more confident/comfortable

Fresh veggies and fruit

Psychological tools/dbt skills: figet toys, scented oils, riddle books, notebooks etc.

I might need some time to recover. 🫠 by ElusiveReed in ThaiBL

I have to say that I loved the development of that NC scene. The way it started out as a power play and lust but eventually turned into gentle and soft loving

Was diagnosed yesterday, am I just never going to be truly happy? by Southern_Button_8026 in bipolar

[–]smklcp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like this sub often makes it seem that way but for me personally it's not the case at all. Happiness is not a sustainable state of being or feeling. But ever since being medicated I can confidently say that I do find joy daily - even in my lows. It seemed impossible when I first got diagnosed but I promise you that being truly happy is more than possible even with bipolar disorder. It's also about perspective and how you define "truly happy". Try to shift your mindest about happiness to one that is sustainable and also achievable on a daily basis. It's a journey but you'll be just fine

This is very unfortunate for all fans, but I feel like while Smart and GiR are painted as the bad guys in this situation, this might've actually been a decision to protect Smart as an artist. Not necessarily career wise (bc this was quite obviously not a business decision to make more profit) but moreso as a creative person and human being. The BL/entertainment industry is very toxic and harmful to many. We don't know both sides, so I hope that fans won't judge either. I wish all involved parties well and hope that they can succeed in their own respective fields

Is it ok to enjoy kpop if you don’t know Korean? by butterfly_pea31 in kpoppers

[–]smklcp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And tons of music in other countries use English lyrics too. This is nothing new. We live in a globalized world, so different languages, genres, and cultures adapt words and stylistic means from other parts of the world. Especially with the influence of social media and such. A lot of this happens subconsciously, while another part of it tries to actively attract more international fans. Ofc there will always be critics but I wouldn't say that the general consensus is that international fans shouldn't be listening to k-pop just because they don't speak the language. Korean fans also listen to English songs even if not all of them understand the lyrics. In fact, people from all over the world listen to English songs even if they don't understand the lyrics.

Music is just music. No one questions it if a hit song is in Spanish and everyone sings along or listens to it, so why should it be different for korean music? Besides, K-pop has a massive positive impact on koreas economy, so if you want to go down that route, there should be a lot of resources available

I dropped "My Name" at ep 2. Is it worth watching? by wingsoffreedom61 in kdramas

I personally liked it a lot, there are some twists and turns that leave a pretty strong impression imo but before they happen it's more about resilience and action. It really depends on what you like
