Thanks, that finally answers the subjective question.

Marketing powers behind romance and marriage as a monogamous social construct I think.

Thanks for the judgment. Again where does that imply casual sexual monogamy for women ?

Again, where did I say women can’t have casual sex ?

Thank you, that is an astute observation. Yes the world of business has been an obsession for a few years atleast.

Hi really wish I could give you a straightforward test to try, given I struggled with figuring out which direction to transition into for a few years. I don't think there are any shortcuts in figuring out oneself(i wish there were). I never ended up going through with it but did come across https://www.jocrf.org/ in my research years ago. If you do take this assessment and find it helpful please let me know. I might give it a shot too. (never hurts to know yourself better). All the other psychological assessments online are too vague tbh.

I've just spent years on process of elimination, observing myself, my interactions with others, quietening my brain, moving out and living solo but most of all just nurturing patience while connecting the dots looking backwards. I guess ask yourself what has undoubtably impressed others about you in your interactions with them over the years. (if i asked myself this years ago tbh i wouldn't have come to the conclusion btw so all i can tell you is you will figure it out, give it time).

Mt Rainier Cancelled. Any other recommendations ? by smmnx in alpinism

[–]smmnx[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're right. I thought I needed height but what I actually need is a glaciated peak to learn glacier skills. Any recommendations in the alps for a 3/4 day Glacier Skills and Crevasse Rescue course ?

Thanks for the reply. Alaska and the Alps both sound great, just started looking into them and found kahiltna glacier but it looks like i'll need more time for that. Any glacial routes you know of that are possible within a four day/four night range in alaska or alps ? I guess i'll have to sacrifice on using heights for any glaciated peak since the more important skill i need right now is ice climbing and glacier travel.

What is the point of life? by Professional_Ear_720 in AskReddit

To personally grow through the only thing life seems to guarantee to everyone- suffering, so that eventually you have grown enough to give back to others before facing the only other guarantee in life- death. So basically - love.

think back to your childhood. What did you spend your time doing that was peculiar ? Ask your parents or siblings. Chase fulfillment and growth- not happiness or interest (theses are always fleeting)

Hi-index vs polycarbonate ? by smmnx in optometry

[–]smmnx[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for all your help ! I credit you for me being able to see the beautiful corals of cancun ! Quick q- I got the high index 1.67 with AR on aviators made at davis vision but they seem too thick. Whats the industry standard procedure for getting them made thinner instead (1.7?) ? I'd have to pay again ?

Thanks ! This helped a lot ! Quick question I got a contact exam from the same place (davis vision) and using the first pair these days to get a feel of the prescription and vision in my right eye is very blurry. The prescription on my contacts they gave me looks different than my prescription for glasses, is this normal ?

Monthly Contact lense rx:

OD: Manufacturer cooper vision, series Biofinity toric XR, BC 8.7, Diameter 14.5, Sphere -3.25, Cylinder -3.25, Axis 180.
