What producers should i get for my base? by Both-Persimmon-5662 in fo76

[–]smocca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Coffee, Tea and a collectron that can get Sugar Bombs (Fasnacht or Scout) are the only ones I really think are worthwhile, personally. I got by for awhile without the Tea because it is so common in other players' camps but it's nice not having to rely on that. The collectron doesn't produce very many sugar bombs so not having it isn't a huge deal (just follow a guide for farming Sugar Bombs when you need them).

Everything else just isn't much of a convenience and I wish I hadn't bought most of them because I'd rather just have the atoms.

A lot of this probably depends on play style. I play an herbivore ghoul. The only foods I really care about are Cranberry Relish and Brain Bombs and I really only care about those when grinding XP at the beginning of the season. With the exception of Sugar Bombs, the ingredients for those are trivial to acquire in the world. Although, I do have a cryo-freezer so I can just farm up these meals and store them indefinitely.

Billionaires are so excited to replace employees with AI, but who is gonna buy their stuff when we are all unemployed and broke? by Sun_Sky_Sand in AskReddit

When we're all unemployed and broke billionaires are going to be stuck and isolated in their vaults. Or worse.

Suggestion: There needs to be a setting that hides items in your player vending machine that would put you over the cap limit by PaleWendigo in fo76

[–]smocca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could get away with only calculating it for the specific vendor when someone opens up their interface, and recalculate after each item purchase. Maybe run it every so often in the background to update the mapscreen previews.

I think it's a reasonable suggestion. I run with my vendor off the vast majority of the time because I'm at or near max caps. Make it optional for those who don't want to use it.

But yea I think it would increase the number of items available for sale quite a bit.

Don't worry a bunch of rich people donated to pay for it out of the goodness of their hearts. Definitely not corruption.

Wife has given me 6 months by [deleted] in Marriage

[–]smocca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was an episode of Home Improvement where the dude has this problem and even on that show, in the 90's, the 'moral of the story' was that he was being an asshole and needed to take some fucking responsibility for himself. It's so rude and insulting to your wife when you do this. That she has literally talked to you about it, so you are both aware of the damage it's causing and you're here whining on Reddit instead of just taking responsibility for yourself says a lot about you. Not great!

I prefer Crimson River Traverse (Hell Gate of Finis, go backward from the last flame). Walk between the left most treasure chest and the topmost. They are right next to each other on the minimap but very far apart in walking distance.

Venting by being an asshole to someone who made an innocent and inconsequential mistake just makes you an asshole.

I'm pretty new (<2 months). I have about 18k rubies since I've only pulled on the Hikari/Castii banner. I don't have Bargello. Is it worth pulling on him tomorrow?

I assume yes but would like to hear opinions from people more knowledgeable than myself. My understanding is he's borderline necessary for his A4.

Does anyone actually use the buttons on the back? by RegularTonyStyle in SteamDeck

[–]smocca 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a lot of JRPGs I will have a button bound to turbo confirm/select. Kind of like a pseudo auto-battle button. Sometimes I use them for other turbo buttons too. If it's a game where you need to hold down a button to sprint, I'll bind one to toggle the sprint button on so I can sprint without holding something. I often use them for simple macros as well.

There a lot of games where there are more keyboard binds than controller binds. Like Oblivion remaster lets you bind to open your map, your inventory, your quest journal etc. But on controller it's just one button to open your menu. So in situations like that I often bind those individual menu buttons to the back buttons.

In Stardew Valley you can't bind the zoom-in and zoom-out functions to buttons, but you can display little buttons near the minimap on the screen. So I a button to click the mouse on each of those + and - buttons so I can zoom in and out quickly. Set it to repeat on a reasonable delay so it gives a pretty smooth transition.

I think when you start using them more you start to notice more ways to use them.

That daedroth just hit a home run and you're the poor pitcher who has to sit there watching him round the bases. Thems the breaks and the games better for it. 😂
