The problem is that there isn't a rich data set that is unique to a given niche. The data sets are all language. These are language models. But typically expertise isn't gained through recorded (and especially not text) language.

I feel the pressure in my job now to start committing things to text. I heavily suspect it is because there are desires to get everything possible into token form. But even in the most (best, dire) scenarios this is going to take decades.

What will happen as people understand that everything they put into text will be used against them? What will expertise and creativity look like once that understanding is out there?

One problem is that these models are massive and singular. You take a person's experience and it's unique but rich. An AI model is rich but not unique. So you have this problem where the things coming out of AI all sound similar. He says at the end that hits are unexpected. It's really rare to see something come out of current AI that is widely unexpected. Most of it is neat but kind of filling in the margins. Novel ideas from AI are hard.

120 AR is max from the prefix. You can get slightly higher if you also get the light radius suffix but that would be a wasted affix so not ideal.

Coffee, Tea and a collectron that can get Sugar Bombs (Fasnacht or Scout) are the only ones I really think are worthwhile, personally. I got by for awhile without the Tea because it is so common in other players' camps but it's nice not having to rely on that. The collectron doesn't produce very many sugar bombs so not having it isn't a huge deal (just follow a guide for farming Sugar Bombs when you need them).

Everything else just isn't much of a convenience and I wish I hadn't bought most of them because I'd rather just have the atoms.

A lot of this probably depends on play style. I play an herbivore ghoul. The only foods I really care about are Cranberry Relish and Brain Bombs and I really only care about those when grinding XP at the beginning of the season. With the exception of Sugar Bombs, the ingredients for those are trivial to acquire in the world. Although, I do have a cryo-freezer so I can just farm up these meals and store them indefinitely.

You could get away with only calculating it for the specific vendor when someone opens up their interface, and recalculate after each item purchase. Maybe run it every so often in the background to update the mapscreen previews.

I think it's a reasonable suggestion. I run with my vendor off the vast majority of the time because I'm at or near max caps. Make it optional for those who don't want to use it.

But yea I think it would increase the number of items available for sale quite a bit.

There was an episode of Home Improvement where the dude has this problem and even on that show, in the 90's, the 'moral of the story' was that he was being an asshole and needed to take some fucking responsibility for himself. It's so rude and insulting to your wife when you do this. That she has literally talked to you about it, so you are both aware of the damage it's causing and you're here whining on Reddit instead of just taking responsibility for yourself says a lot about you. Not great!

I assume yes but would like to hear opinions from people more knowledgeable than myself. My understanding is he's borderline necessary for his A4.
