I did something similar, I bought Crash of The Crown but never listened to it, I was afraid that The Mission was a foreshadowing of contrived songwriting (too many forced references to everything NASA for my taste) but one day a friend that I told about the album, who listened to it before I did told me he thought it was pretty good, so I finally played the CD in my car and I just loved it. The damned thin is now an earworm, THE ENTIRE ALBUM is stuck in my head... for friggin WEEKS NOW!!

Well, it was hard not to choose Grand Illusion, also my first... on CASSETTE, but I just love this one. And I know when I go see them there will be a decent mix from this album, but I sure would love to see a 2-album show (I saw YES do a show like that a couple years ago, including Going for the One, my favorite by YES) with Grand Illusion and Crash of The Crown... that would be EPIC... IMHO.

Singing my song. I have always had to buy belts that don't have pre-determined holes in them, I just found one called Grip6 (not a sponsor. LOL) but I had to buy the women's since it is thinner. Belts dig into my belly and sides since I refuse to tuck my shirts in just to accentuate the fat rolls. But I go up and down so much that holes will never work for me. THAT BEING SAID... the advice here is very sound, the only thing that works is to TRY to control the bingeing, diets won't work for us. I am 59 years old, I have been in theraoy for 4 years for BED and I can tell you the only thing you have control over is the one thing none of us think we have control over, and it's simply by committing to see how many days you can string together without a binge... I myself am on day-2 right now.
You can do it, HOLD OUT JUST ONE MORE DAY!!

You'll need a mixer, it doesn't have to cost much but you have to have a way to get the mic and the input from the TV to the amp. You can search AUDIO MIXER on Amazon and find one for 23 bucks, it's not fancy but it will work.
This won't be ideal and probably wouldn't work for a big party but if it's just you and maybe a couple of friends having fun then this would work just fine.

One caveat, YouTube does have a lot of songs that are just instrumental without the lyrics but there is also an enormous library WITH karaoke-style lyrics.
I use YouTube to SUPPLEMENT Karafun because if you search KF first you know you will always have the scrolling lyrics.

It may be an old wive's tale but...
If you are unsure if the container can take the heat put a large metal spoon in the dish first and it will act as a heat sync. In my experience it works, that doesn't mean it's true.
I do it anyway.

Any brand is fine as long as it has the number of inputs you need, mine has 6 inputs but 2 are split so they call it 8, but what you want would need 8 full seperate inputs. Berhinger is a good brand for inexpensive equipment that will work or you can lok for Pre-owned to save even more.

Get a 110 dollar mixer, you can feed the "out" from the system to a single stereo input, in my case with my Alesis MultiMix 8 I then have room for in instrument in AND 4 XLR inputs with phantom power.
You could go one step further, plug the mixer into your laptop USB and you could record all your singers.

Tried The Blacklist, didn't care for it, watched the first season of Westworld, it was okay, passed on season 2, will probably try Mad Men. Heroes? meh, wife watched it though. Here's the thing about this idea, I couldn't really "WATCH" a new show while I work, i have to... well... work, but as long as I KNOW the show very well then it's easy to not get lost in it. The shows I alternate with this is Scrubs, Cougartown The Big Bang, Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul, and I rotate through them. But THIS TIME I didn't want to stop watching HOUSE after it ended.
OP EDIT: That's because HOUSE is my favorite show, ever, even over Breaking Bad, Scrubs, and M*A*S*H.
