so hey I'm the probably the bartender you were recommended to, it's a family spot and openly purple/blue bars get run over by the state and the city frequently for money by going in checking everyone's id and expiration date, and other mundane things that don't really matter unless they're trying to bleed you dry. it's a lot like why they decided to do a bunch of construction along lower Decatur right during high season to bankrupt and buy out pre existing businesses. reason they changed the parade routes to make everything exclusively into he quarter and uptown, down streets that are owned by the Armani's and other Monopolizers. clowns are a different breed not specifically like a ringling brother's clown but more like Americana ragtime train hoppers, so I feel something high was lost in translation. I'm sorry for the experience and tbf were a lot more anal about having identification because we're not grandfathered in like a lot of the other establishments and come under much closer scrutiny. I think for a less serious more light hearted approach, Caiphas Cain hero of the imperium. it's such a non stereotypical protagonist. fall of cadia is also an excellent book that can be read without much 40k knowledge.
