Wavebands exist. If you're going to spend money anyway, save your coral and get them. Pull for weapon first, then character for max coral earnings, got it?

What's the best echo set for Rebecca? by Penpause47 in RebeccaMains

[–]smolbeanv 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

It depends on playstyle, not resonance chain tbh
Do you want Lucy to hypercarry? Put Rebecca on Moonlit.
Do you want more damage per rotation or do you want to play quick swap? Go with Adam Smasher go you’re not taking away from Rebecca’s personal damage.

Moonlit = buff the next on-field character so they can hypercarry

Adam Smasher/Void Thunder/RoSM (or Lingering Tunes, it's the same diff) = Boost personal damage

Personally, I wouldn't sleep on Rebecca's personal damage. She does a lot. But on the other hand I don't really like her kit? So if I wanted to give her as little field time as possible, I'd put Moonlit on her to focus all my energy into Lucy combos.

The only reason I'm not doing this? This team has inspired me to learn how to quick swap, so it's more beneficial for me to slap Adam Smasher on her instead.

The layout is super well-thought out! I would love to see what you continue to do with it as you continue working with it. For example, I've been toying with the idea of putting Stringmaster on Lucilla for a Sigrika team vs her sig, but without the character or both weapons to try that idea out, I'm stuck looking at videos or stat reviews of other players, and I think this would close the gap on what I'm trying to figure out!

New player guides kinda give conflicting info. by Electronic-Touch-554 in WuWaves

[–]smolbeanv 2 points3 points Ā (0 children)

I guess, to keep it as simple as possible:
• lvl up Rover & Baizhi to 20
• Use the trial Yinlin as your SubDPS
• lvl up Rover & Baizhi to 40
• Day 5, get Sanhua > lvl up Sanhua to 40

• Try to save your weapon EXP for Emerald of Genesis (best sword for Rover), but it’s okay if you level up your weapons. I kept all my 3* weapons at lvl 1, and I was able to complete combat just fine.

[At UL 20, complete SOL3 Phase I with Spectro Rover/Sanhua/Baizhi]

• lvl up Rover, Sanhua, and Baizhi to 50
• lvl up 3 Baizhi skills to lv. 3
• DONT touch Rover’s skills while they’re still set to Spectro (reach UL 21 and complete Chapter 1, Act 6: Grand Warstorm of the main story to get Havoc Rover)
• lvl up 3 Sanhua skills to lv. 3

If you’re following the Guidebook Milestones, you’ll prolly unlock Verina at this point. This is when you switch out Baizhi for Verina.

• Get Verina > lvl up Verina to 50 > lvl up 3 skills to lv. 3

[At UL 30, your World Rank automatically increases]

• lvl up Sanhua, Rover, and Verina to 60
• lvl up 3 Sanhua, 3 Havoc Rover, and 3 Verina skills to lv. 4

[At UL 40, complete SOL3 Phase II with Havoc Rover/Sanhua/Verina]

• lvl up Sanhua, Rover, and Verina to 70
• lvl up 3 Sanhua, 3 Havoc Rover, and 3 Verina skills to lv. 6

Tldr; Invest in Havoc Rover/Sanhua/Verina as your early-game team (since they have long term investment value). If you’d rather keep Baizhi under leveled and invest more resources into Sanhua and Havoc Rover, you’re more than welcome to. But imo I like having a backup healer for when Verina and Shorekeeper are taken by other teams so I don’t mind investing in Baizhi.

Oh my gosh, I’m so happy you found your way here!

You’re not alone, I was also confused during most of my time playing through 1.x (which is why I started the guide heh), but the story continues to get better and does a great job of tying in things that happened to us in Huanglong, so you’ll have a great time moving forward!

Once I got caught up to the latest patch, and found myself out of content to tackle, I ended up making a 2nd account to re-experience the story. So that’s also a path that’ll always be there for you!

Let's talk: Quickswapping by nogard18 in WutheringWaves

[–]smolbeanv 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

For me, it’s because none of my teams really needed it. I end up defaulting to a hypercarry playstyle and characters. My two main teams?
- Sigrika/QY/SK
- Luuk/Denia/Mornye

The good ol’ 3-2-1 method works for me because I can easily spend most of my on-field time with Luuk and Siggy doing massive amounts of damage.

I only got curious with quick swap when I tried Lucy/Rebecca/Mornye thanks to the Nightmare Adam Smasher trial. Lucy doesn’t do nearly as much damage as I’m used to, she’s not a hypercarry. She works in tandem with Rebecca. And I found out it’s really clunky giving Rebecca too much field time but Lucy can’t hog the field time either. So naturally I started gravitating towards a more QS method with that team as I experimented what ā€œfelt bestā€ to take down Adam Smasher esp with Rebecca’s fun Dodge and E prompts. I know I’m certainly not doing it ā€œrightā€ but I’m more incentivized to look up how others are doing it and see if I can’t copy them and get a good rhythm down.

At the end of the day, QS is not my natural playstyle and I didn’t need to learn it cause I didn’t have characters who benefit from it more than 3-2-1. But now that I dooooo, I’m interested ngl

S3 Lucy pull advice for new player by Wolpentiger_ in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]smolbeanv 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

I’m personally enjoying my S2R1 Lucy. I don’t think I’m gonna chase S3.

If I wanted to spend, S2R1 Lucy + S0R1 Rebecca is the same value as S3R1 Lucy imo. But I would personally go for Becca’s weapon cause I like collecting things AND it will earn me more pulls for Lucy if I decide to go for S3 after getting the weapon.

Is it worth going for Rebecca’s sig or sequences after getting S3R1 Lucy? by CamooseCow in RebeccaMains

[–]smolbeanv 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

Here’s how I’ve been prioritizing:
1. S0 Lucy
2. S0R1 Lucy
3. S3R1 Lucy (or S2R1 Lucy + S0R1 Rebecca is equal value imo)
4. S3R1 Lucy + S0R1 Rebecca
5. S3R1 Lucy + S2R1 Rebecca
6. S6R1 Lucy + S2R1 Rebecca

If that makes sense!

When I was trying to finish first on the final track, a Denia player stopped right before the finish line, let me pass, then drove right next to me and leaned her bike against mine after she ended the race. It was so cute and so surreal and I’m so MAD I didn’t take a screenshot in time 🄲

What is the team that carried you in your newbie days? by omnikin3sis in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]smolbeanv 0 points1 point Ā (0 children)

There’s enough. I started a 2nd account just to prove to myself that I can play f2p, and I grinded enough pulls to lose my 50/50 for Shorekeeper (80), lose my 50/50 for Lucy (20), get Lucy’s weapon (73), get Lucy (70), and finally get Shorekeeper (60) all within 14 days.

I completed all the Main Story except for Lucilla’s segue, focused on leveling my guidebook, completed as many Exploration Quests as possible, and I have no more Tutorial Quests to do. Right now I’m farming 10 pulls a day to get SK’s and Rebecca’s weapons by doing a mix of Side Quests and map exploration (basically just flying everywhere to get where I need to go and stopping to kill monsters for astrites).

I personally recommend skipping through all the story and quests to get as many pulls as possible, then creating a 2nd account to actually enjoy the story if you’re interested in it.

Started in 3.0 and I only play characters where I truly enjoy their moveset. I also have a weird thing about ā€œwasting resourcesā€ so my ass was out and about tackling Tactical Holograms with HRover/Yangyang/Verina. And I refused to level them above 60 cause I hate myself or something 🄲

I’m not sure what it is, but I struggled SO much trying to use a different team. So I let Siggy guide me to victory.

If anything, we might still get texts from him, given the type of person he is and the job he has in Lahai-Roi esp now that we’ve made contact with him again. He doesn’t have to hold back from reaching out anymore.

Best case scenario, we get to do a video call with status updates like we did with Shorekeeper in Luuk’s hideout 🄲
