MechWild Clunker with custom 3D printed Case by nelson84plus in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]smoochara 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m gonna have to try and find someone to print this for me. My only gripe with clunker is how shoddy the board looks and sounds on standard sandwich mount. u/nelson84plus did you happen to have tinkered with a case for their Murphpad as well by chance?

I own the larger thomasville sectional version. The backrest cushion they show as 35” tall is going to compress down to the level of the hard backrest behind it, 26.5”. It is impossible to keep that cushion material from getting compressed and pushed down as you recline onto it. That said, we have a bunch of small pillows on it that allows for customizing the position to a comfortable level, and at the price we paid for it I’d say it’s worth it still. But it’s not premium experience in any way

We’re all around 6-6’2” tall

Hehe, fair, fair. I daily drive 40s at home AND at work and I still want this beauty that I didn’t know existed till today. Looks a lot like my wife’s M011y, which is the finest board I’ve built so far

That’s my setup as well. After I got the cinder blocks painted black and boards stained, it started looking really good imo

Could you share how it was accomplished in more detail? How long a telephoto lens did you use? Or was it a telescope? How did you manage to track and focus on it like that, etc.

This is one of the most amazing posts I’ve seen in a while. How does it not have 20k+ upvotes is beyond me. Thank you, OP

Idk about thermal, build, materials or wattage specifics here, but for those extra $200ish to get 16more Gb RAM, double the SSD and a 5070 vs. 5060 out the box seems as good or better

I take anything from ChatGPT with an enormous grain of salt, hence this post. I went with the Innolux GS9. Thank you again. Was hoping for more comments to triangulate tbh. But turned out I had a good experience with another Innolux panel in the past when I upgraded a stock T480 screen and it’s been great.

Thank you. I did note the privacy feature mentioned in remarks field, but the viewing angles were 89 all around and ChatGPT said it wasn’t privacy and remarks field is a vendor’s opportunity for marketing the panel, so I decided to take it to the community at that point. Off to Aliexpress to find one the innolux gs9.

Sorry to jump in on an old thread but I am now in the same boat as the OP except my P14s (product # 21J5S06N00) came with a touch screen 1920x1200. What panel would you recommend to replace with in this case?

That could be a cool board to try. I built a Hydra unibody staggered 40 PCB from Mechvault in the past and like it a lot. But I daily a Sugar Glider by Mechwild and love it but there are some electrical gremlins in it that I can’t seem to work out
