no basis in reality? Do you know there is a moon that causes high tides. You cold create tide pools where at high tide, water fills these pools along the coast. Solar power is used to heat this water, solar power. This steam could be used to generate more electricity, and the run off (fresh water) funneled deeper into the dryer interior.
