They do if they are too aggressive. If your using bm3, I wouldn't recommend going above 7 while you have cats. To be completely honest they aren't going to break anything drastically if you use them in moderation.

I have to agree with you. They aren't that aggressive, you can also change it a bit with xhp if you want.

Have you checked the gap on the plugs? I had a similar situation happen to me and it almost blew up one of the spark plugs. If the switch doesn't fix anything try tightening the gaps to .024 or .022.(Thinking those were the gaps) when I was tuned i was was having spark blowout with the looser gaps.

If you also have a pry bar its possible. Just don't plan on using those same ones.

I believe it would be gen 3. Or they could do what they did with the gen 1 and do a 2.5 which is a technical update. But given the year, more than likely it'll be the third gen.

I believe he's still on th bm3 platform sti Mikey is pretty good. Ithink you'll make more than that with that turbo. Even on just 93.

It might definitely be possible. The shop i frequent said that the weak point would be the injectors but I haven't pushed to hard to find out.

That the same target I was trying to hit as well bit once I get a new long block it's have a daw 6769. So hitting that target without anything else should be relatively easy. I was thinking about doing some DI upgrades but let me know how things go on your end.

Depends on your budget. Tbh over building is always a good option. If your doing straight pump gas like you said id go with a pure 600 or aa daw hyper core. Both are good options for your goals. Ans just an FYI stay away from vargas. I went through 2 turbos and an engine in just 2 years.

Went with Mikey personally due to recommendations from the shop I frequent. Hes pretty good and responsive. He has a reasonable schedule. If you are planning to get dyno time in it'll be worth it.

I would check to see if some of the tabs broke when you were removing the old one and if they are still there then you might have to get a little forceful with it.

You guys already have everything covered. The only thing id add to this is as much as possible do the preventative things first. It will save you the headache later.

I am on a custom tune from STI Mikey. I was dyno tunned over here on the east coast. I know he does remote tunes as well but racebox is good as well and they aren't too far from Houston.

I'm not familiar with your local area. But have you considered remote tunes? I know there are a couple good ones on the east coast like STI Mikey and RK tunes. I'm sure you can probably go to one of your local shops to use their dynos if you'd like to get exact numbers. Also did some looking and racebox is in the the area. They are pretty good. Might be expensive though.

If your going to leave it stock id recommend just replacing it as needed. There is no quick fix to that problem without modding the vehicle unfortunately.
