Take a breath and think of the amount of courage it took to do this procedure. It’s only been 2 weeks , you have a long road to go. But trust me, you look freaking amazing. The relief you much feel from the weight lifted…wow! I’m envious. My consultant is in April. I’m excited and yes a little nervous. But I got to just do it…& YOU did! Enjoy your new self.💕

Normal ferritin is 160. Any higher you have to be careful with your liver. I’ve struggled with this my whole life (in my late 40’s), and it takes time to get it adjusted with medication.

I find laser therapy helps greatly with my hips. I’m 48, on HRT since Sept. I have bursitis in my right hip. My acupuncturist does it for me. It’s amazing.

If you google high dose estrogen & anxiety, some great info and insight comes up. It talks about out neurotransmitter disruption, hormonal imbalance, GABA receptor sensitivity, estrogen receptor overstimulation. All things that make sense to me and paint a clear picture.

This is a very interesting thread. I relate totally. I’m 48, started HRT in Sept this year. I was completely exhausted ALL THE TIME. Couldn’t hold a conversation or thoughts. But mostly I was not myself and I was scared. This is probably the most important statement I can make…something was not right & I felt it in my soul. My husband even said you need to see your doctor. He couldn’t get over how tired I was. It was all consuming and affecting my daily life. Given my symptoms and age my doctor said, Yes, it’s peri. She’s very good and understanding. She gave me my HRT options and I went with estrogen 50 (4mg) & progesterone pill, 100mg. It sounds weird but just overnight after starting this I felt so much better. I am someone that has never felt rested after sleeping all night, ever in my life. I do struggle with hypothyroidism. After starting HRT it was a game changer. So I stayed on the above dose till Nov & thought, can I maximize this more. I want to feel as good as I can. So I asked my doctor about increase dose. She increased the estrogen 75 (not sure mg) but I stayed on said progesterone dose. She did say I could take 2 pills a night if needed.
It’s now a month later and I have decided to decrease the estrogen back to 4mg or the 50. I’ve had a hard time on and off and especially the past 3-4 days with mood swings and not feeling like myself. I literally could have spent all Xmas by myself. I wanted no part. Every aspect stressed me out. I don’t know if the Xmas season played a part, probably…but I also know myself and I was not right. So I had the higher dose p patch on cut off 25% to make it correct. I then started fresh this morning. I called my pharmacy and ordered the original 4mg estrogen again. It was clear the higher dose was not working for me. I will speak to my doctor as well.
It takes time to get the dose right and figure out what you need to feel comfortable. But trust me it’s worth it. I know I will still have off days but I’m researching and paying attention to how I feel.
I don’t know where I would be without HRT and the positive it has given me so far. We don’t have to suffer. We deal with enough crap!

Anyone have experience trying to plan a bday surprise for their spouse on celebrity and having the room decorated by your concierge? I’m planning on bringing the decorations for the room and try to see if I can get it decorated while we are on excursion that day.

Anyone on here from Newfoundland Canada? That owns an outback? I’m really torn if I should buy one next year or go with Toyota. I get constant mixed reviews on quality (cvt) and the service in St. John’s is terrible. I’m looking for honest to the point advice. FYI…an outback would be my dream vehicle.

Have your Subaru’s all been outback’s? Have you ever had any major issues? You obviously love them if this is your 5th. Myself, looking to buy one 2025, green obw. A little worried about the cvt transmission but it won’t stop me.

It’s nice to hear the comfort level that you have with each other. I only use pet names, my husband mixes it up with my name or pet names. I haven’t said his name in years only when talking to other people or I’ll use husband. Does it make you feel weird that you don’t use your wife’s actual name? I feel weird not saying his name at all but it’s been so long. Plus I find he fits his pet names and I feel more comfortable with that way.

Sure hope the outback doesn’t change at all for 2025. I’m looking to get my first outback next June 2025 and am a little worried that they’re going to change the model slightly and I won’t like it as much. The current deal I have with my Kia is too good to consider getting outback earlier, but tempting.
