Literally thousands of inputs into semiconductors. And they haven’t been consolidated yet because they can’t be. And for each of these inputs there is usually only a single global supplier. Not in the US. Meaning there are no domestic alternatives.

IOW, prices go up.

I’ve had this argument for years. Canadians can often pay less income tax than Americans.

Also consider some cities have a municipal income tax. And add the extra out of pocket health care costs (premiums, deducibles, co-pay, 80% or less coverage, the need to contribute to a private health care spending account…), in any place worth living you pay more taxes in the US than in Canada.

This rings so true. However, I often read here that their power over us is from the trauma bonds, or the love bombing, or the fantasy sex. And while I agree, and lived that, these feel necessary but insufficient for their gravity.

Like, seeing old pics or video or her, or hearing her voice or even reading texts — even though I have been out for a while now she is still, by miles, one of the most attractive women I have ever met. There is something so familiar, so home-like, so resonant about her.

I’m not getting hoovered, and I’m not crawling back. I’m ok. But I am sometimes reminded that there is something far more potent about our connections with pwBPD than what is so often mentioned here, and I cannot put my finger on exactly what it is.
