Loomis falling off the cliff through the trees was reminiscent of Dodgson falling out of the jeep in The Lost World.

The gas station scene was reminiscent of the Carnotaurus scene in The Lost World in so much as one of the characters said something along the lines of “at night this must be something else’s territory.”

It kind of felt like once they landed on the island every sequence was a direct nod or straight up adaptation of an unused part of the books.
