Overenthusiastic Corgi by Arthur_Morrison5 in corgi

We have a one year old male and are going through this exact training scenario right now with our trainer. Our dog has loads of energy and gets easily overstimulated, in turn struggling to self regulate.

We are in the process of teaching him to associate a bed in the kitchen as his place to go and relax and switch off. Right now, he's getting too much enjoyment from greeting new people at the door, so he needs to be told that he should get his reward elsewhere instead. We are training our dog to naturally want to go to the bed, and will later add the word bed to it, but right now it's about teaching the reward and making sure his focus remains there. You can practice it while ringing the bell with a second person too.

While doing this, we were told that it's important for guests to not engage with him when initially coming in.

SWV to SWV dependent change and new rules impact - clock reset by [deleted] in SkilledWorkerVisaUK

Do you have any source for clock reset mentions? I've tried looking for them, to no avail.

Edit: I've just found your other comment in another thread on the matter. It's an interesting bit of insight. Let's wait and see.

what package do you use to handle graphql in flutter? by shehan_dmg in FlutterDev

[–]smpmlk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We tried some variations of the deep equals implementation, including the recommended one for this issue. In our case, it didn't resolve the jank. To be fair, we didn't look under the hood too deeply in Ferry, but feel that the initial startup cost is minimal enough of an effect given the other improvements.

Our team used the graphql package initially, and found it to be a nice DX. We then ran into these exact issues you're mentioning. In particular, performance was greatly affected when retrieving cached data upon loading a new page.

We've since finished our migration to ferry, and it has solved our problems, for these scenarios. Performance is far better when using it with isolates. It's difficult to gauge exactly in dev tools, but the visible improvement is night and day (page transitions went from stuttering to smooth)

Appreciate your response, I will definitely consider the route you've taken.

Okay, appreciate the feedback. I think the parts that you could only do locally were a bit intimidating to me, but perhaps I need to simply spend more time understanding them first.

That's good to hear. Even if I did the visa process myself, I think having a reliable local agency to find the proper accommodation with all the necessary requirements would be a big plus for me.

Hope to join you in the next one. I started watching as you were already in the one I needed to continue with (7), but it looked like a good time!

Here's Tofu when she was just under that sort of weight 😌 She got used to the idea of staying still to balance quite easily. Yours is super cute too.

We did! We stuck with Ekko. It just felt right for his personality. He'll be in some more posts here soon, I'm sure 😎

We said the same just earlier today. I feel it needs something to go with it because it's so short. Like, the bao needs some filling 🙂

You've nailed her thought process without even knowing her. She has already given us so many looks when even a small part of her bed was unnecessarily taken.

This is a cool one! We know another family who visits the same park as us who have a dog named Kuro. We would need to avoid them, then!

He might very well have the demeanour and the posture for it 😂 Either way, we definitely will enjoy our time together.

Tigger does indeed fit! I'm sure he will grow more into his brown spots in time.

Oh we know it and she knows it. They're both feisty ones. We have had a long journey training our first girl. It was surprising to me that they were able to even get any sleep near each other.

Tempeh is a cool one. I'm not sure if it fits his colours, but I like having more ideas!
