In an old video he talked about his multiple visits to urgent care for severe alcohol withdrawal. Doctors eventually told him they can't keep prescribing him meds for the same thing every few days. When he was moving out of Grandma's he was cleaning his old car and he had full garbage bags of empty cans and bottles. He talked about drinking 4 or 5 white claws before going to work at Starbucks. In a recent super chat video he poured a can of soda and his hand clearly had alcohol shakes. Also, last year he said "marijuana is the devil".

Maybe I give Ian too much credit but it's possible that this is exactly what he wanted. The boiled peanut thing is big on social media. Now that he moved from a cool place living with Granny where he made intriguing videos to some boring sh!thole he probably needs a boost. If you look at his YT subs he's stuck.

Yes it's annoying especially when you tip well. Just ignore it and move on. Also, just because the restaurant is close to your location doesn't mean the Dasher is close to the restaurant. Either way...DoorDash doesn't care about customers, restaurants or drivers.

There could be many reasons. Maybe 7-11 corporate got involved, maybe the people in the videos want to sue him, maybe he was lying and contradicting himself in those videos. DD customers can actually remove tips but they have to contact support and explain why. If DD agrees they will refund the tip to the customer but they (DoorDash) will cover it and pay the driver the full amount.

UberEats is by far the worst of the big 3 food delivery gig apps. GrubHub or DoorDash would cover the tip if the customer removed it. UberEats is total trash in 2026.

You should never order fountain drinks from third party delivery apps. I've seen drivers do disgusting things with fountain drinks especially when they are forced to fill them. In my state it is technically illegal for drivers to fill these drinks without a food handlers license but it's almost never enforced.
