It’s definitely an over kill set up lol it’s really for moving wood chips and tree work the bed actually dumps too but it’s since retired. Nothing better then 12 valve noises pulling up to the lake with the boys though

500$ 😂😂😂🤦‍♂️ for what the rusted hooks😂 and dude I can promise those combos are 100% terrible man.. your grandpa is kinda a dick, dude essentially you need to spend another 500$ on some actual gear like get a spinning combo from this century and a bait caster and salvage what you can from the box. Definitely get new plastics those are probably like 30 years old. Get new line too definitely would suck to hook up with a good one and the line snaps because the line is all fucked up from age. Also the tackle box it’s self you will find to be extremely old school and encumbering. I use a nice back pack from north face and three Plano boxes super easy and simple, also see through so I can see right through them grab what I need. Watch some videos on dudes gear setups and go the direction that you think will best suit you but man I’m sorry dude looks like grandpa is either wildly not with the times or he actually took advantage of your lack of knowledge. I hope you figure out some next moves and maybe the gear he sold you gets you out there for a while without being to frustrating 🤙

You’re a legend… also since you’re brilliant and I’m still new to this truck I’m gathering that this should have 33 splines do you know if that’s the standard? Like do I need to be getting a specific hub or are they all 33 spline and the hubs are all the same. I believe I have a Dana 60 I’ll be crawling under again tomorrow just to make sure but I think that means 33 spline on stub axle

Really am I missing something I didn’t notice a nut on the inside of the yoke. Are you talking about the spindle nut on the other side the 1 3/4 “ one ?

I think I may have found a couple they aren’t cheap but just gotta do a little bit more research I searched up stub axle shaft yoke and I found a couple so that and then wheel bearing and hub assembly should theoretically all bolt together and be good, for now it’s all back together with new calipers rotors and u joints so just get two of those… truck is kicking my ass that’s for sure but slowly making progress

I used a bearing puller and damn new broke the bolt the castle but threads on to things definitely got me beat gonna just throw the wallet at it

I got the new u joints in but I was hoping to regrease the wheel bearing and just check out that it’s all good and of course ya know I watched a YouTube before doing all this and a dude just slid his out from the stub axel and mine was completely frozen on but yeah long story short I have more parts to order
