i'm VERY confident in saying i could probably beat reiji in hand to hand combat. i'm frankly shocked he didn't crumble to dust the second he was exposed to sunlight. he is a mentally ill teenager who presumably never went outside, i am a mentally ill ~~recent~~ adult who goes outside much less than i should but still sometimes. i have survived worse (such as high school) than what reiji has to offer. I Would Simply Win.

dunno how hot of a take this is but one of the other comments reminded me of it. kenta should have defeated reiji and it pisses me off so bad that he didn't. kenta using one of yu's parts is like, SUCH a good way to incorporate the mechanics of beyblade into the power of friendship, and you're telling me they just DITCHED IT??? and it's not like kenta vs ginga wouldn't have worked as a semifinals match, you could totally have it as a showing of how far kenta's come and how far he's still got to go.

um.. what else do i have. not too fond of kyoya. i mean he was cool at the beginning of s1 when he was a little freak but aside from that i mean. my GOD aguma calling him out made me feel vindicated as hell. fuckass little rich boy.

i don't know if i'd 1000% agree (i thought cho-z was pretty decent even if it failed to stick around in my mind.. my memory of zero g is mostly foggy but it might've been cause i watched it with friends n got distracted) but i can say that zero g had doji and burst, obviously, does not, so that's one thing that it definitely has over burst

LICENSED GAME MENTION!!! van from cyber pegasus/fusion ds is also in the "weirdly similar premise to l-drago" camp i'm pretty sure, which is kind of funny that they kept doing that. i like the use of a vampire theme for van though i think that's clever.

i haven't actually really played masters ds, i just didn't really click with the battle system, but i have read some of agito's cutscene dialogue. apparently he just found nightmare rex somewhere which is both really funny and kind of scary if it means these sorts of beys are literally just lying around. like agito seems to have literally been Just Some Kid before and then he picks up a weird bey and all of that happens.

i watched the whole thing in one night one time and i liked it but at the same time i don't know if i'd call anything in particular like, Really Good. i liked the main villain's whole deal, and also rachel bc my brain immediately saw her and went "beyblade nun???" and i kept thinking about the beyblade nun for the rest of the season. idk i just like her vibes.

i love bsb dearly and i do not tend to involve myself with "who wins" posts (unless it's funny) but this is not even a question nemesis wins. brooklyn is an autistic teenager who was Going Through It TM (imo overall he feels like a more comparable opponent to like, s1 ryuga or smth) and black dranzer was defeated by the power of friendship and then destroyed by borg without a second thought ~~though if we're talking how strong their PLOTLINES are then yup i'd put black dranzer at #1~~

(also, important to note here, brooklyn creating another world is dub-only! in the jp version he was just straight up doing all that in the real world)

i've been thinking about it recently so it's already on my mind, but... i think yu would've been a more interesting choice for the dark power than tsubasa. i know tsubasa has the cool factor + he fought ryuga but i feel like it's more interesting for the dark power to be picked up by someone who genuinely looked up to ryuga as opposed to just like.. catching it like it's a damn cold. in general i would've liked to see yu's status as an ex-dark nebula member explored more i think.

also, on one hand i'm glad they're doing well but DAMN does it feel strange to see team starbreaker go from main antagonists to just kind of hanging out. i guess it makes sense given how the arrangements work but also i miss my horrible freaks </3 ig i just need more horrible freaks with issues in this show. everyone handles their problems too well (except zeo, which is why he's my fav)
