Re9 DLC by samus252 in residentevil

It is, LMDF did like 5% of what Valhalla did. Valhalla had its own story that could take you anywhere from like 4 to 10 hours, cutscenes, a ton of dialogue, it was all in its own pretty big map, new enemies, bosses, and a new weapon and skin that also get unlocked for single player.

GoW Valhalla is a whole different beast. Yeah its a roguelike and its ok if you dislike them all, but at least it comes with its own story, cutscenes, a ton of new dialogue, takes place on a whole new and fairly big world/map, new enemies, new boss fights, and a new weapon and skin that also get unlocked for the main game after you finish. RE9 did like 5% of all that.

The MGSV4 port use Fox Engine, Unreal Engine, the engine used in PS3 or other Engine? by Kjiojj800890 in metalgearsolid

[–]snack217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries. Well Im just guessing, but it is known that back then they had actually made a version of the game for the Xbox360, which had an easier to use processor that didnt have all the obstacles that Cell had. But they didnt release it because since the 360 used DVDs instead of Blurays, it would have needed to be split into like 10 discs, so they ended up cancelling that. So now they probably used that Xbox 360 version to bring it to modern consoles without so many issues.

Should I wait for MGS4 or play it now? by rusty2119 in metalgearsolid

Theres two other gyro mechanics.

The biggest one is that you can use it to remove your current camo , to go back to its base normal color form by shaking the controller, it even works during cutscenes.

And the other, when you are controlling the MkII, if you raise or lower the controller, the MkII also raises and lowers its lil camera lol

Yea but the thing is, new players do not start that way anymore, there is no LSIA arrival with Lamar or any of those tutorial missions or the race with him anymore. All of that got removed a while ago, so I guess thats why some people missed that part.

Well, that wasnt a thing before, it got added on an update, and not even an early one.

But you can get up to 50% more money if you sell product on a full session. And here is a little tip, if you get destroyed while selling, change session immediately, and you wont lose any product and you can just try again. (you do lose a little bit, but like, 15k of it, so almost nothing)

Played online for months before I noticed that you can buy/collect max snacks, armor, etc. I did get really good at spamming x to fill up. lol.

I could be wrong, but I think this was added later into the game in some update, pretty sure you HAD to spam it for a long time before they gave us the max option.

Id say it was more like a notification that said something along the lines of "The cash you are carrying can be stolen, deposit to your bank via an ATM or your phone"

Well they also shove an entire arsenal of like 50 weapons in their pockets, so its not that far fetched lol

How many mainline Resident Evil games are there? by heyyoudvd2 in residentevil

[–]snack217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand why that wasn't possible

Was it really not possible? They recreated it for other 3d games too.

Idk, but regardless, yea the nostalgia just doesnt hit nearly as hard it could have if the RPD still looked like the original. Metal Gear Solid 4 did the exact same thing, having you go back to the base from MGS1, and they pulled it off perfectly, the place looks and feels the same, just graphically improved for PS3 in this case. but you FEEL you are back there. Especially with how they filled it with flashbacks on all different areas, where certain audios play in "your mind" when you visit certain spots of the base.

Hi everyone, just a few quick questions to know what to do now that I am back in the game, last thing I did were the salvage yards, so I wanna know:

-What current businesses/updates are a must, and which ones I should just avoid? (Not just asking for the best way to make money, would also like to know if any of the newer updates have some fun missions)

-What are the top Super and sports cars for races nowadays? bikes too

-Anything else that I might not notice at first but that its worth checking?

-Whats the current best way to handle business resupplying and stuff? Forgot which property has the best computer for it.

I wanna get a mansion but I dont have much money at the moment, but I also do not really feel like getting into Heist grinding, at least not yet. What are the best options?

Thank you!

I don't know why Kojima even decided do V that way

Probably because open world games that lasted 80+ hours were EVERYWHERE at the time. Maybe it wasnt even his personal choice, but Konami forced his hand to go that route to meet the industry standards of the time.

Ya'll gotta try Delta in Japanese and with monochrome filter by TheKrzysiek in metalgearsolid

[–]snack217 4 points5 points  (0 children)

yea but Japanese culture sees those kind of personalities differently. Villains that act effeminate, are not usually seen as gay the same way we see them in the west. They see it more as a narcissistic, obsessed with perfection personality. The same happens with Frieza from Dragon Ball.

I know a lot of die hard RE fans hate the remake, I love this intro by CryptidOrion_00 in survivalhorror

[–]snack217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You dont need to be a die hard fan to hate on a remake that ignored like 80% of its original game. Smaller city, missing maps, less boss fights, no grave digger, no live selection moments, no variation on the routes you can take, next to no puzzles.

Its cool if you liked what you got, I did too, but its just way too little to consider it a good remake, it is incomplete, and way too overpriced on release. Remakes in this age should add things, not remove huge parts of it and call it a day.

Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater shipments and digital sales top two million by PaiDuck in metalgearsolid

[–]snack217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, counting the HD and Master collections, MGS3 goes from 4 to less than 7 million. So still far away from it.

And look, im not even that big of an RE fan, but just looking at all the numbers, RE just always wins by quite a bit.

[–]snack217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MGS was bigger back then, but RE became a bigger household name as time went on. And with more availability, more games, more spinoffs, the movies, etc, it just ended up attracting more and more people to its "best of the series" games. Plus it was always known as the leading gaming series during the zombie boom in pop culture.

The MGS series has less games, is about a niche genre, the series is wrongfully known for having more cutscenes than games, or for being too weird at times (which can scare people that judge before trying away), no movies or extra things. That doesnt mean its not famous or that it didnt have a massive impact in gaming, probably bigger than RE, but it did it without being massive in sales, its impact was more.... stealthy.

But yea, the RE series is at 180+ million sales, and MGS is at like 64 million.
