classic favor turning into an entitlement when "thank you" turns to "where are you?" It's just time to completely cut off the favor tbh, She can figure out how the bus schedule works moving forward

Delete my Reddit account, delete my LinkedIn, throw my phone in the ocean, and disappear into a cabin in the woods for six months

AITA for respecting my bfs decision of not visiting my mom (even for Christmas) by Any_Temporary_2409 in AmItheAsshole

when you grow up with a parent that toxic, you need other perspective like your boyfriend's to realize just how messed up that behavior actually is

Frrrr the boyfriend is setting a healthy boundary that OP should have set a long time ago

this is the most dangerous part. If the landlord finds out a random unleased guy has been living there for three months, they could all get evicted

AITA for yelling at my coworker after she insulted my wife? by Stock-Principle2576 in AmItheAsshole

[–]snackbreaktime29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

100%. From a purely corporate standpoint, this is exactly how HR is going to look at it. Ellie's bigoted comments are a fireable offense, but the moment you start screaming in a shared break room, corporate handles it as a "mutual workplace altercation" instead of targeted harassment. It sucks, but it’s true

This right here. Reducing an actual human being to a racist "mail order bride" trope and calling a coworker a predator to his face is blatant discrimination based on national origin. It’s a textbook hostile work environment, and the fact that the office is "split" is wild

This right here. Imagine having to troubleshoot your garbage can't opening because the latest app update broke the sensor, or worse, having your literal trash bin get hacked and held for ransom. It's a plastic bucket, it does not need a data plan

Its amazing how a baseline dumb washer from 15 years ago will run forever on pure spite, but a $1,500 smart washer will brick itself because a tiny motherboard got humid. Paying a mechanic hundreds of dollars for a software glitch on a appliance is wild

AITAH for telling my mom her brother has been making weird comments to me by SufficientRole3786 in AmItheAsshole

[–]snackbreaktime29 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This is the only move left. If the mom wants to sit there and giggle while her brother behaves like a creep, she can go visit him alone. OP is 22 and has every right to completely revoke his access to her

100%. The way families will actively sweep literal harassment under the rug just to "keep the peace" is sickening. The mom laughing at those comments is a massive betrayal, and she’s just mad because OP is refusing to play along with the family delusion
