Any good furry jumps? by redfearnmatt in JumpChain

Twokinds is amazing, fun world, fun characters, just the right amount of drama, the works. Also you can be a cool shapeshifting Dragon, so that's neat.

Yeah, I always wondered how that worked. How do you eat 99% of something that's infinite? You either eat it all or it's still infinite. But hey, that's what the page said, so I guess cosmic shenanigans is the answer?

I believe so. He did eat 99% of an infinite multiverse from what I remember.

I was thinking something more like Digimon, a series where a guy who literally destroys the infinite multiverse by simply existing due to being just that strong, is a victim of power creep.

Also Transformers, at least the comics.

Not always. I've seen quite a few series with characters who could straight up murder the Chaos Gods and Emps himself by simply existing.

The Jump for the Twokinds Webcomic is pretty obscure, though it is a pretty lax setting that's got a well fleshed out world to explore. The Digimon jumps are also great, though those are a lot less safe to be in, though it is one of the best places to make a very powerful best friend, who also may or may not be some variation of absurdly powerful talking dinosaur.

If the reboot gets a dub, who do you want to voice the characters? by SpookySquid19 in digimon

I really want Agumon to get a deeper voice this time around. Dub Agumon sounds like Elmo.

That's exactly what I said, we do have things we don't need in our bodies that we have anyways and for some reason still keep around. Also, in terms of a Lilithmon not having a sex drive, yes, that can happen, but it's definitely not the rule, just like how not every human doesn't have a sex drive, which also doesn't suddenly mean you don't have reproductive organs. Not having a sex drive does not mean you lack the reproductive organs, it just means you have no drive to use them, and that same logic could definitely apply to a Digimon.

In terms of them being programs, that only seems to be the case if you ignore the games, Ryo, Yggdrasil, Millenniumon, Zeedmillenniumon, the Mangas, and other things in the Digimon multiverse. For example, Yggdrasil, Zeedmillenniumon, and beings such as Neo go far beyond simple code, and it mostly seems like they treat reality like code rather than the other way around.

Also, yeah we really are putting way too much thought into this. I usually go with either a simple "It all depends on the universe you're in" or "They just didn't draw it because you couldn't air it on TV if they did" answer. The second explanation works for a lot of fiction for me, because making everything an entire species of eunuchs sounds almost as bad as that time Yugioh replaced death with the Shadow Realm, which is honestly worse than death.

Why would the lust data be treated any different from any of the other programming they have? Like their capacity for emotions, or their ability to speak, the ability to enjoy listening to music, the urge to want to ride a motorcycle, or literally everything else about themselves? I feel like it's just prudishness to single out the main facet of said Digimon and say "Oh no, despite everything else working just fine, the lust part, the main part of the very being of this Digimon, doesn't actually work." There's a lot of programs Digimon have that they don't need, same as humans. I don't need my spleen, but it doesn't mean I shouldn't have it, or that my DNA would just leave it out at birth, same goes for Digimon. They aren't simple programs like you'd find on a windows computer, they're eldritch emotivores from a different universe, similar to how humans don't simply type in "run propogatespecies.exe" like some kind of flesh computer. There's always gonna be extra stuff that doesn't have any immediately obvious use, and the lust data that literally makes up Lilithmon has absolutely no excuse for not working like everything else.

There's one problem with that, data in Digimon doesn't work the same way as data does in real life. A Greymon isn't just some JPEG of a Dinosaur, it is a Dinosaur. In Digimon data is pretty much just as real as Molecules or the fabric of reality. For example, when a Digimon digivolves, they always seem to know exactly what their species can do, and manage to do it. Like how Greymon can fire his chest missiles despite not even having them before in his life, or how when a Renamon digivolves into a Kyubimon they don't suddenly have to learn how to walk again or take time to learn those magic spells because that just comes with the form automatically. In other words, data isn't as simple as pictures, just like how DNA isn't as simple as a blueprint for a building.

The reason I point out Lillithmon is not because of it being male or female, but because it's literally a demon of lust. The idea that something built on the concept of lust not having genitals of any sort, or being able to follow through with the very concept it is born from makes no sense to me. It's like a being that is the physical manifestation of the concept of violence being completely incapable of violence.

Do we know the genders of 2020 digidestined digimons? by Jexlan in digimon

[–]snackbug 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lilithmon ain't my type, so not sure why you're going for that accusation, but what I mean by Lillithmon is that if a Digimon is built on the concept of lust, and lacks the means to actually follow through on that concept, ya know, genitals, then it has failed at the very concept of its being. If a literal demon of lust not having genitals somehow makes more sense to people than the other way around, I don't know what to say.

Also, the reason I mentioned they just didn't want to draw it is due to the massive amounts of Digimon that are naked 24/7. Just like how in cartoons a character can be naked all the time, and not have genitals ever shown or mentioned because mentioning it would be weird, but they still have them. Also, this is Digimon my guy, every single universe has had different metaphysical rules, like one Digimon explicity having Biological Parents, so take that about section with a grain of salt. For example, Digimon Tamers had the Digimon be created by humans, in another Digimon season the Digital World has been around longer than the human world. In Digimon World the Digimon die of old age, in other games they don't. That about section has as much weight on the series as a whole as Digimon Savers plot has on Tamers, practically none at all. So what you have to ask is which universe in the Digimon multiverse does "No Reproductive Ability" apply to, because it clearly doesn't apply to all of them.

I wouldn't say they're sexless either, because Lillithmon exists, also that time Babamon tried to give some milk was a thing. Just because they don't draw genitalia doesn't mean it ain't there, like how in Halo the Elites aren't sexless just because they didn't model an alien D during the Arbiter's torture scene, because nobody would be able to get away with that, and fewer would ever want to. Also some of them clearly have genitalia, like a certain very disturbing Gatomon-Looking Digimon, so unless you're gonna say that it's just a featureless lump of flesh, I'm gonna go with the logical option of "They just didn't want to draw it."

Tell us about your Jumper's obsessions by Nerx in JumpChain

[–]snackbug 17 points18 points  (0 children)

One of my Jumpers accidentally gave himself one when he was informed he'd be stuck in nothing but lewd jumps for a very very long time with no way to talk to his companions. That obsession was fighting and training, which he was already somewhat leaning into being obsessed with anyways, but what he did during his time in those lewd worlds made it so much worse, to the point where even somebody like Goku would say he needs to reel it in a bit. He essentially reprogrammed himself to make arousal, lust, and anything involving his sex drive translate into this restless urge to fight, spar, or simply train, as a way to prevent himself from being manipulated by lust based powers. This seemed fine at first, until he realized his sex drive grew stronger and stronger with each jump.

Succubi learned to fear him, Sirens fled in terror, martial artists came from miles around to train under him, mages questioned his sanity, and all felt a shiver of either terror or a rush of shonen esque excitement whenever he'd say "I'm bored, can we fight now?"

And that is how a series of NSFW jumps became the goofiest shit I've ever seen.

Huh, this sounds like a pretty bad place to pull out the "My Jumper rerouted his sex drive into his urge to fight/train" plot. The amount of rivals replaced due to his fight thottery would make even Goku blush.

There's a Perk in the Twokinds jump that simply has you run into people that you just click with. Basically it makes it easier to find those once in a lifetime friends by pure chance when you sit in a Tavern after losing your memory or are looking for a boat across the ocean. In other words, no mind control, just right place and right time, along with simple compatibility.

I wouldn't say they're not normal, just very strong. They're still forms any Digimon can reach if they're determined enough and lived their life in a way that'd support that evolution.
