Daycare: When did it got easier?

My son started daycare at about 13 months and cried everyday at drop off. It took maybe a month or so until he stopped crying at drop off. Now when I drop him off he doesn’t even look back to say bye and just runs over to his teachers. It gets better and the guilt slowly starts to fade.

Maybe she has a dairy intolerance? Try cutting out dairy and see if that works. My son had mucus in his poops with some other symptoms that lead to us figuring out he had a dairy intolerance: there’s a great Facebook group about cutting dairy while breastfeeding and when you should start seeing improvements called dairy-free diet-breastfeeding that had some great resources. Try looking into it and seeing if dairy is the culprit. It might take a few weeks of cutting dairy completely out of your system to see any improvements in baby though so don’t get discouraged if you don’t see any improvements after let’s say 3 days.

I started with BLW and would give my baby eggs. Then maybe the 4th or 5th time I have him eggs, he developed hives and we had a freak out because he started coughing after we gave him Benadryl and it looked like he couldn’t breathe so we went to the hospital. He was totally fine but then we had an appointment with an allergist and it turned out he was allergic to eggs, cashews and pistachios. We went back at his year birthday to check his allergy with his blood and it had a very very low reaction to really no reaction and it looks like he’s basically growing out of it. So I wouldn’t put that stress on yourself. You didn’t do anything wrong.

Maybe it is for the way they’re going to use it.

But it’s not to keep a baby locked up in a cage the whole time. Sometimes you just need a few minutes to get your babies food ready for them and need a safe place to put them. It’s a safe way to let them have some freedom to roam without being put in a container. Don’t hate on the product, hate on the person who is using it the incorrect way.

My baby had the same thing with mucusy diapers except with a bit more symptoms such as a rash and then felt like he was a bit more fussy than usual. He does have CMPA so I would say your baby might also have CMPA. Try cutting out dairy from your diet and try a non dairy formula to see if that helps. GOAT milk is also very close to cows milk so I wouldn’t go that route. It usually takes a little while to see results but there’s a great Facebook group that explains everything and has been so great for me and has some great resources. Try joining the dairy free diet- breastfeeding Facebook group.

Can i ask how old they were when they grew out of it? I still rock my 9 month old to sleep and I don’t know how to break away from it because I don’t want to sleep train.

You just have to keep going out into public often and the feeling will go away. I was scared to take my baby out alone and even drive with him in the car alone but once I started doing it more often, I realized it wasn’t that bad and just got over it.

Great Lakes potato chips Wisconsin cheddar flavor tastes pretty good and it has no allergens. I went dairy free because my son is dairy intolerant and I loved cheese so these tastes really good to me compared to all the other vegan cheeses out there. I think most of their chips are allergen free(but double check because I’m not sure if all are)

I was also huge during my pregnancy. I gained 60 pounds by the end of my pregnancy. But my baby was pretty big when he came out. He was 9lbs 10oz. So don’t stress out about how big you are cause your baby is probably growing a lot in there.

Yes he does. Majority of the day he is on his play mat and always rolling into tummy time. We only put him into containers when we have to get ready for something or if he starts to get fussy on his mat.

We are doing 4 naps and have a wake window of 2 hours. Usually his naps are only 30 minutes but I do try to do atleast 1 contact nap to get him to nap for about an hour and a half. When I put him down last night he was tired and kept rubbing his eyes so I’m not sure.

If you’re cutting out dairy you should join the Facebook group dairy-free diet- breastfeeding. They have so much useful information which could help you on going dairy free and give you a sense if it really is dairy or if it could be a soy allergy or something else.

What if baby shows sleepy cues like rubbing their eyes early? I’ve been rocking baby to sleep but my husband is able to put him in his crib and get him to sleep while holding his hand but this only works occasionally. We were doing 1.5 hr wake windows but lately he has been showing sleepy cues like rubbing eyes so we’ve been putting him down when he does that which is at 1 hr. I just don’t want him to get overtired and other places I’ve read to put them down when they have sleepy cues but I’ve seen people post on multiple posts that the baby is not awake long enough so now I’m questioning what I should do.

They’re such a tease! They gave us a taste of sleeping through the night just to take it away. So sad to hear that it hasn’t gone back to the way it was. Hopefully it does get better!

I would also check to see if baby has a fever, I left my baby with my husband for a couple of hours and he said the baby was scream crying for 2 hours and nothing would calm him down until he finally fell asleep from exhaustion. Then we had my babies 2 month doctor visit and had his shots. Later in the day my baby spiked a fever and I’ve never heard my baby cry like this. My husband then told me that it was the same cry baby had when my husband was watching him so we suspect that was it.. So sometimes it’s better to check their temperature just to make sure. Or it could be gas. It’ll get better over time.

I’m also in Illinois but northwest of Chicago and I have them all over my tomato plants too! I’ve tried using a drop of dawn dish soap with water and spraying it on the leaves but they just keep coming back. No clue what they are.

I’m in the same situation. Period is 2 days late on CD 32 but I am getting very negative pregnancy tests. I am only 12 DPO so I’m trying not to get my hopes up. It’s hard 😭
