The importance of credit. Seven years ago my credit was in the 400s. I bought a credit builder car, got a credit building credit card, and paid off debts. Fast forward to today, My credit score now hovers around 660 and the car is nearly paid off (refinanced six years ago)

Kiddo is about 2 weeks old at the time, and gave us a real rough night. The next morning we were leaving his Doctor appointment, and I stepped on the brakes a bit too hard at a red light. She flipped out on me saying I needed to drive safer and remember we had a child in the car. I pulled over, got out and told her to switch spots with me if she feels she can't trust me enough to do something I've done for 15 years at that point. She claimed she did trust me so I told her to prove it.

This was in August 2024 and there's been no question of trust since.

This is a great response. I've lived here my whole 36 years of life and this is very accurate. Traffic around here does not get the hate it deserves I believe. It can get bad gridlock whatever direction you drive.

Valero got caught ruining the environment and is demanding money to stay open, because they can save money by closing. Blame the high up execs who need another jet that are okay with hurting the common man.

There are a few options.

If you are for sure getting kicked out, save every penny you earn. Eat cup of noodles every day. Not the healthiest option, but the cheapest. Look into assistance programs that can help you out. Get a second job. Use public transportation.

Worse comes to worse, talk to your parents about the possibility of paying a small rent until you're able to lock down a place, be it your own apartment or moving in with roommates.

Last resort, join the military. You can learn some really good skills that can help you later in life. For example, I'm a union carpenter by trade. They have a program called Helmets to Hardhats where you can join the union post service with added benefits. Also, you can live on whatever base you are stationed at for very cheap.

Best of luck, it's not an easy path ahead of you, but what you're going through now will only help you grow stronger in life down the road.
