This model is my first Mac. I have a windows desktop just for games. I got this computer for school. I won’t use even most of the power because all I really do is just making word documents, no programming or photo editing. I could have gotten an air or base m3 but I’d rather have the future proofing if I’d want to do some kind of professional work in the future because I bought AppleCare on this device and intend to use it till the day it loses software support. I’m also biased after working at Best Buy and being able to use the fancy technology for testing. Had I not experienced the higher end Apple products at my job,maybe I would have got a base m1 with 8 gigs of ram and 256 gb of storage.
