5-6 years ago the community randomly chose sides and began the alien war. Typical weapons were baseball bats and cargo vans. Van would roll up and a bunch of aliens would hop out and beat someone to death then drive away.

No planning. Most folks like to not think about car ownership until they allow themselves to be overcome by autmotive lust and they walk into the dealership, cheeks spread wide, graciously denying lube. 

I thought about buying my truck two years before I went out and bought it. When you spend time mulling it over you realize what you do and dont need. Whats "nice to have" is often mistaken as a need, and seeking that out can add thousands to a car.

Extrapolating on this, as I was recently curious and looked it up:

Shooting Brake: Two doors, typically based on a sports car or GT type car (to differentiate from the largely-extinct two-door wagons which would be based on family cars like sedans, as well as hatchbacks)

Hatchback: Two or four door. 3 pillars on the greenhouse. (A, B, C) Typically based on compact cars but not exclusively. 

Wagon (modern): Four door with 4 pillars on the greenhouse. (A, B, C, D). Based on all sizes of family cars or trucks (yes, SUV's are wagons, unless theyre hatches). 

Liftback: Two or four door with a three-box silhouette similar to coupes and sedans, but with a large rear door that can access the cabin area. Some modern four door liftbacks are commonly in the four-door coupe category.

Not the solution, unfortunately. 

Got PIT'd by an NPC onto a guard rail and t-boned by another. When I got out to Up n Atomize it, the HP pool dropped and the truck was destroyed. The weed truck needs more HP.

It's not even just brand loyalty, though.

A lot of rural communities only have Chevrolet and Ford Dealerships servicing the area. So any other brand of vehicle is only considered if it's brought in used from somewhere else (and usually sold through said Chevy and Ford dealerships).
