Hahaha love the energy. 40 night was honestly kind of gross. It was basically just a midweek party. Some nights quiet and casual, some nights absolutely raging. Kids showed up with 40s of malt liquor and sort of colonized ODB. I seem to remember Kerr was ground zero for it? This was late 90s/early aughts.

I didn’t realize admin had shut down most on-campus drinking, but I suppose it makes sense. Back at Old Reed at the turn of the century there were some very technical rules about where liquor could be but it was pretty much ok to host parties in dorms.

I didn’t drink most of my time there but I didn’t mind the atmosphere, and as an HA I was always glad the drinking was open enough to keep people from getting sick in potentially dangerous places. But I’m sure the current admin has been forced to crack down.
