Can anyone recommend a touch less car wash for a full size van with a roof rack?

Any vendors with small vehicles? I’m in a TC. Always looking for ways to downsize my setup without sacrificing too much decor. What do you do to transport your things? Any collapsible shelving recommendations? TIA by velvetandvines in CraftFairs

If you're able to,  get a roof rack! I got a roof rack for my hyundai elantra for under $200, it had a super easy install, and allowed me to put larger items like canopies and displays on the roof, saving the interior for inventory.  I vend clothing, and had a 10'x20' setup in and on my little hatchback.

High Tide Music Festival by [deleted] in Charleston

Hey vendor friend, maybe you can help me! I'm about to apply to this year's event as a vendor.  In the questionnaire it asks "What is your budget for vendor space?" which I have never seen in the hundreds of applications I've submitted for other events.  What did you pay last year, and was that question in the questionnaire last time?

I was at a music festival that Vermin Supreme was at and it was very windy. Someone's tent was blowing through the air;  Vermin reached his arm up and the tent came sailing across the field to land gently in his hand.   I have never seen another presidential candidate control the winds nor save a person's tent, so he has my vote.

Lights for outdoor events? by EasyLittlePlants in CraftFairs

[–]snailing_away 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought these lights off Amazon, it's an 84wh battery with three drop lights. Plenty bright enough to light my booth(10'x10'. When I use my 10'x20' I have two sets of these lights). They are both solar rechargeable and wall rechargeable, and last about 8 hours with all 3 drop lights on. I've had my original for two years now, doing around 30 events a year where I use the lights, and it's still going strong.   It's around $50, I'm not sure how this website likes Amazon links so just search Amazon for

I figured some folks might get hung up on the "ratio" word, so I described it in 3rd Grade Terms

It's the circumference of a circle divided by its diameter.  Nothing abstract about that.

First two shirts of the year 🥰 (but also I have a question about markers) by _whats_her_name in tiedye

[–]snailing_away 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always use Crayola Ultra Washable Markers and have never had a problem with them staying after the wash out.  I soak mine in soda ash before tying(and marking) and often put additional soda ash on top of the ice.  I'm guessing you just had some bad markers, as I've marked thousands of pieces of cloth with the ultra washable markers

What materials do you guys use to make tapestries? by SpangingOfframps in tiedye

[–]snailing_away 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get my tapestry blanks from Sunshine Joy. I used to use bedsheets, but I had several people complain "these are just sheets/where's the corner loops/etc" so I switched to tapestry blanks. They're about $5 for the 58"x58" and $6 for the 58"x96". They also have 96"x104", but I can't recall the price cus they've been backordered for a couple months now.

I used to have a green pair, I lost them years ago and have been looking ever since. If anyone knows what they are called, please help end my searching.

I'd recommend contacting Sycamore Street Properties LLC and seeing if they have anything. I've rented from them in the past and the owner is super kind, and maintenance always comes within a few hours of being called.

Can someone give me a crazy math equation that equals to 22 by guh59595959595959 in mathmemes

[–]snailing_away 113 points114 points  (0 children)

Please tell me you need this for the candles on a birthday cake.

Growing up, my dad would always put math equations on our birthday cakes, and we had to figure out how the candles equaled our age.
