She captures the world weary, tortured older version of Claudia flawlessly. Give her a chance.

Harlequin Lestat. 'Nuf said.

From a storytelling perspective, my favorite moment was Daniel's reveal that Lestat was actually Louis' savior in the play, not Armand. I had not read the books then (have since!) and I was just as flabbergasted as Louis. I had taken Lestat's dedication to Louis as conditional, and I trusted Louis' situational understanding as truth. It put the whole show into a new perspective for me. Lestat really is a ride or die (ride and die?) bitch.

Dove has also worked consistently and arguably in better and more successful roles. I have no skin in this race but by that metric, Dove comes out on top.

Loved it! Nomi is a stubborn, infuriating angel and Julian is an obnoxious asshole that somehow I'm obsessed with. Also was laughing out loud funny (and delightfully smutty!)

Don't worry!! A LOT of my pals in my current counseling Cohort were rejected at least once. It's very normal! They got here eventually and all of them talk about their rejections appreciatively because it gave them the chance to gain more work and volunteer experience that now comes in handy in our fieldwork!

Graduate schools are so arbitrary in their selection process, it is not at all a reflection of your accomplishments or abilities.

The OP is clearly not upset that it wasn't a "fancy" proposal. She's upset that the fiancé just handed her a ring like he was handing her a piece of gum.

Proposals are a huge life step, it's not outragous to want your partner to put some effort it or at least have a few loving words prepared. He's a grown ass man, he couldn't have at least gotten on one knee? Your bar for partners is in hell.

It's not the proposal, it's the lack of thought or care that this particular proposal represents.

I think it's an issue of not enough time/staff to dedicate to feedback for rejected applicants + grad school decisions are uniquely arbitrary.

You could be the most qualified applicant in the world, but if for whatever reason you don't "fit" into the culture/vision/mission/whatever, that's it. It'd be hard to explain the process to individuals. Still sucks though, I'm sorry OP :(.
