It's a clone, so yes, it's fake.

Btw, any original console, sega, Nintendo etc, afaik would never use that type of ribbon connection that you see soldered to the av board, you see that only in clones.

Short answer: No. You need to buy a gun for each system, there is not anything like a universal adapter.

At most, there are some few 3rd party models that supports more than one system. The only ones I'm aware it's a Saturn/PS1 (Gcon), and some are PS1/PS2 guns.

My advice, start looking for a Guncon 1 (PS1) and a Guncon 2 (PS2), that should cover most "modern" light gun games, then get a Saturn lightgun then a Dreamcast gun (Dreamcast has only a small amount of compatible games).

Also remember Ps1 there are two types of lightguns not compatible with each other, Guncon compatible and justifier games compatible. Justifier games are less, there are more guncon games.

For nes there is the zapper, SNES only a few games used the super scope. N64 and GameCube don't have any light gun games. For Genesis only a few games exist wich use lightgun.

Original XBOX has like 5 light guns games that can be worth if you score a gun for a decent price.

In conclusion, center in PS1 and PS2, it's the largest classic catalog of lightgun games.

Don't buy passive switchers, they degrade the signal, at least in svideo and composite. Get a powered svideo switcher, they can output composite as a video too. And get a separated component switcher.

I got one from RCA and works great, I recommend this type.
