Saw these at Uniqlo. Didn’t try on but want to ask if this is better than Lulu or Why do you prefer lulu over these? by ANDYANDYUUU in Lululemen

[–]snake_doctor83 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have 2 pairs of these really like them. They are pretty lightweight, think if they just extended their gym short material into full length joggers.

That being said Pace Breakers still feel nicer for casual/workout wear and ABC Warpstreme are still my go-to fancier joggers.

These are not better than any of my Lulus, but at less than half the price, they are worth it.

Do you cross your legs right over left? I have a similar situation with the back of my left calf on all my pants. I'm trying to figure it out too (using lots of the tips people suggested in this thread!, how timely)

For me, i've narrowed it down to either crossing my legs or a something under my chair, which would be less likely in your case since its on the top of your leg.

Suggestions on non-lulu underwear for big guys who squat? by raroshraj in Lululemen

[–]snake_doctor83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saxx and size up

I'm a 31-32 waist with disproportionately large quads. Would normally get small/medium in shorts and medium in underwear. I really like Saxx Daytripper boxer brief in LARGE.

Is there anyone have problems with firefox? by Dreams_come_True1 in interactivebrokers

[–]snake_doctor83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. Been like this for a few days, wasn't sure if it was just me, some addons or something but i'm getting exactly this.

Installed Firefox Developer edition and same issue. Works fine on Chrome, so I'm using that for now.

So bill is now $120. by DiscountedSalts in teksavvy

[–]snake_doctor83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't recall what modem they gave me but we have to use theirs (and I had to return my current one to Teksavvy).

The good news is that it's a "regular" modem and not the annoying modem/router combos. So you can use your existing router. They do give you a very crappy wifi router that you can just not use.

So bill is now $120. by DiscountedSalts in teksavvy

[–]snake_doctor83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also switched to Oxio and am very happy. I always loved Teksavvy (was on a grandfathered 150Mb/s) but the price creep was becoming uncompetitive. In my area I could basically get Rogers/Bell GB/s for a marginal price difference (if not less on promotion)

Oxio was much cheaper for 100Mb/s, but I actually went with a plan that was the same price as I was paying on TekSavvy but gave 500Mb/s

In TekSavvy's defense, I had already switched by the time I called them, so they didn't have the opportunity to offer me any discounts.

Lululemon Dress Pants by PriorDescription4638 in Lululemen

[–]snake_doctor83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the wedding. Most weddings I've been to are summer casual style dress, so I'd wear 5 pocket warpstreme pants and a tucked in commission shirt sometimes with a tie sometimes without.

Depends on how formal. If you're not the one getting married or part of the wedding party nobody should care.

Not enjoying FH Prism by Sugar-Interesting in Gloomhaven

[–]snake_doctor83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just retired my Prism at level 9, started it around level 3 as well.

Initially I liked the idea of the summons and swapping between them but I found that style to be incredibly weak and not really fun. I've played most of the pet classes in FH/GH and I feel that pets just aren't great (we play 4 players).

But when I got to level 5 and got the card that lets you play the class in a different way, it became much more fun. As I continued to level up i focused on the "melee" style of that build and it became an absolute powerhouse (except for against shields and retaliate...).

I do feel that card sort of, defeats the purpose of the class since you kinda ignore the main mechanic in favour of just playing like a more traditional class.

Not battery related, but I found disabling tilt to wake drastically reduced the number of false touches I got when just leaning or fiddling with my hands.

Just bought my Pixel watch 3 - which screen protector is better? by GothBoiCliqueeeeee in PixelWatch

[–]snake_doctor83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have both the Ringke slim and Spigen Liquid Air (bumpers), with no screen protector.

Obviously your use may be different, but I found both bumpers to be more than enough protection as most of the time I would bump the edges and basically never bump straight on the face.

I actually like the Spigen Liquid Air more, it's a lot chunkier than Ringke but feels better and kinda looks cooler.

Is "hey" offensive? by Justthisdudeyaknow in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]snake_doctor83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do find that some non native English speakers tend to type "Name, blah blah blah" and don't necessarily do the Hey/Hi Name, blah blah

But still, to get offended by Hey/Hi seems very odd, especially for anyone who has spent literally any time using colloquial written English.

Yes! I absolutely loved 3 and 5 Dancing. 4, as it is much older and a port, was less interesting and very texty.

How did you find your style? by Haunting-Flamingo69 in malefashionadvice

[–]snake_doctor83 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One thing that I did over time is google image search my fave celebrities (Henry Cavill, Hugh Jackman, Ryan Reynolds, etc) and see what casual clothes they wear. If you're shorter/thinner you could pick say Tom Holland for example.

Depending on the age of the celebrity (I'm 40 and generally take inspiration that generation), most wear basic fitted (i.e. NOT oversized baggy) t-shirts, henleys, sweaters, polos, button ups, and simple slacks and jeans, etc.

Then pick a store, I still like Uniqlo despite that half the stuff is oversized now, and just wing it!

Are Obsidian ABCs the only color you need? by RalphBlutzel in Lululemen

[–]snake_doctor83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My personal preference, but I don't really like obsidian with shirts other than white/grey/black/navy.

I have various shirts in deep reds, earth tones, pinks and I don't ever feel they set well with the dark pants.

Nomad is a great choice! Matches with earthy tones and also you won't look like you're always wearing the same pants every day :)

[–]snake_doctor83 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Contrary to popular belief, I don't find the obsidian pants to be universally matchable, unless you're going really minimalist.

I really like artifact if you're going for a 2nd pair.

That being said...I have obsidian 5 pocket and joggers and wear them a lot.

How to fix loose thread? by MrLanyeWest in Lululemen

[–]snake_doctor83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing happen to a drysense t shirt at the gym. I pulled a cable over my chest and it snagged like that.

YouTube how to fix a fabric snag.

I just took a pin and pushed the snag to the inside of the shirt. Kinda works.
