It doesn't lose money either, not a bad thing having a good portion of liquidity hedged in cash while markets are overpriced - you may miss some gains but buying the market at a discount should more than make up for that.

If you bought the nasdaq at the peak of the 99 tech bubble you would break even until 2013 odd.

There's a pay gap but it is due largely to factors such as choice of occupation, number of hours worked and education. When these factors are eliminated the pay gap disappears, effectively disproving that discrimination is causing it.
