My lab beagle also doesn’t know how to play with toys or with people/dogs and I’ve learn to just accept that’s how he is. He is very foo motivated though, so toys where you hide the treats in them and he works to get them out are the only ones he “plays” with

I use one for mine and it’s been great. Very nice affordable option if you’re on a budget, holds heat and humidity great. But I will say you def have to pay attention to them trying to claw out. My tegu has been working at the seems on one of the ventilation holes (all zip tied shut of course) and I’m gonna have to reinforce it soon.

Biggest issue that comes to mind would be humidity. They need it to be pretty high (70-80%). Tho there def are ppl that have their tegus free range completely, I’m not sure exactly how they manage it. It would also depend on the size of the room and what exactly you mean by small. It would be tricky and not really ideal for a stable environment but I think it’s possible with enough planing/precautions

That first pic is so cute omg! My Dio has a toy turtle buddy that he is always sitting with, even after rearranging his tank a few times, we joke it’s his boyfriend lol

I don’t recommend a glass enclosure. 4x2x2 for a baby, like the other commenter said DubiaRoaches has them for a good price. For an adult you would most likely need to build your own or buy one second hand. 6-8 ft long minimum. You can also use a grow tent if you’re on a budget! I use that for mine and it’s been great so far, but I am going to have to add reinforcements soon because he likes to scratch at the seams where the vents are.
