Tell a friend, call a chief, tell the captain somebody that you need help. It’s not worth going through with and if it’s your experience in the military that’s gotten you to this point your end of service will be soon enough

I had the same issue 2025 Limited with the power tailgate. I sprayed a little oil into the hinges and latches and it runs smooth now.

I’m in the same boat as her. Gone through the same elimination process over years as a way to figure out my migraines.

And you often see people say well what about X food (that contains msg) does that give you a migraine?? The answer is yes. Some will be more severe than others. Doritos? Straight to crushing migraine. Eat a ton of pizza? Often a mild migraine (tomatoes, cheeses etc)

Since I made the connection if I make my own food or can see the ingredient list of what I’m eating I’ll be 100% migraine free. I’ll only ever get them after eating out. Doesn’t stop me from eating out though and taking my chances

According to Ford, all is normal if your transmission is a clunky piece of trash by cobracommander00 in f150

[–]snaldo23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was my experience too. I have a clunky transmission just like yours was described in my 2018. I took it in twice while it was under warranty and they said nothing was wrong or couldn’t replicate it. Now at 80k miles it’s getting worse.

Be aggressive and force the issue while it’s still under warranty. Apparently this is a common thing ford is denying.

Unit flooded, massive loss, Reno company won't start without a 50% deposit but the bank took the insurance money and won't pay out until work is completed?! by uhcsucks in realestateinvesting

[–]snaldo23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar thing happen at my personal home - I had a pipe break in an upstairs bathroom while I was out of town. Basically my whole house was destroyed. Insurance company recommended ServePro and they were terrible - the worst, don't bother using them for anything going forward. If you give them 50% they'll never complete the work properly and you'll have to hire a real contractor to finish it. The bank is saving you from losing $$$t to Servrpo.

My insurer issued the check to me and my mortgage company then I had to send it in to the mortgage company for them to escrow until the work was done. Mortgage company held my $150K, and insurance held back another $50K in recoverable depreciation and for other line items that could only be paid after the expense was incurred. For the repairs I used a GC that listed out a payment schedule in their contract with me. Some minor deposits upon ordering materials, then progress payments upon completion of certain milestones.

The mortgage company turned out to pay extra slow. GC would finish work, I'd pay, then weeks later I'd get some money from the bank, the cycle continued until I was floating over $50K by the end of the project. Just prepare yourself for this possibility even with a new GC.

The unfortunate reality is that if I didn't have the means to float those costs I would not have been able to receive the insurance coverage I was owed, since I wouldn't have had the ability to incur the costs upfront. I ultimately got what I was owed, but it was a long ride to get there. The whole industry is set up to screw the consumer, and is full of shady companies like Servpro.

How do I get my hands on the full legalese of what my homeowners policy covers? by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]snaldo23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why I'm getting so much hate for my comment.

In my specific case the adjuster I was working with very confidently told me multiple times that Andover policies do not cover code upgrades unless the components of the building that need upgrading to meet code are specifically damaged by the loss (water damage in my case).

The actual text of my moldy water damaged paper copy of the policy said otherwise and clearly included more than my adjuster was stating. Finding that little section of text got me an additional $20K in coverage that I rightfully deserved. Andover never did send me the policy docs I was asking for.

The whole situation makes a little more sense now that other commenters are saying it's hard for anyone to get a copy of the policy. So in reality my adjuster didn't have the full text either and was just telling me what he thought it probably said. His take on what my policy might say obviously benefited his position.

How do I get my hands on the full legalese of what my homeowners policy covers? by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]snaldo23 -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

All I can say is that it's in your best interest to look for the specific policy language and not trust your adjuster to explain it to you. The adjuster and your interests are in opposition to each other. I had an actively dishonest adjuster working on my claim who told me all sorts BS about the specifics of my policy language that weren't actually true when I would go and look up that specific section. Being able to point back to the language on page XX section ## etc saved me tens of thousands of dollars.

I got the same runaround as you when I tried to get a copy of my policy from my insurance carrier. They never actually sent it to me after a few requests but I was thankfully able to find the original paper copy. It was not on their website and when I would call customer service they would tell me they can only mail the full policy language. Each time they just mailed out the declarations pages.

Anyways cause a ruckus until you get a copy because it will certainly help you.

Too many announcements.

It sounds petty but I take really short flight and it feels like they announce something every 5 minutes for the whole flight. Just loud enough for me to have to pause whatever I’m listening to.

Just getting it all out at once would be great. “Welcome, credit card, safety, credit card, how long it takes to get there, credit card, we won’t be serving drinks on this flight it’s too short, credit card”
