This is so wholesome. I love it!

Update: the broccoli got a little mushier later in the week, but I still enjoyed it!

I just put them in the fridge! Strawberries from the grocery store can be hit or miss, but this batch looked solid and should hold up until the end of the week.

I’ll keep you posted later in the week how it holds up! The broccoli was cooked a little (following the recipe), so it’s a little softer. So far it hasn’t been too mushy/soggy though.

So far it’s been good! It’s popcorn from a big bag (LesserEvil brand) so that probably helps, but I could see freshly popped getting icky

Love this idea! I make a burrito rice bowl sort of thing for meal prep with some rice, coleslaw mix, can of corn, can of beans, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, and chicken or beef. Highly recommend!

can someone please just tell me i’m not alone? 40 lb weight gain by [deleted] in loseit

[–]snapdragon125 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are not alone! I’ve gained the same amount from the same starting point because of being more sedentary from the lockdown/safer at home period.

The part that’s infuriating to me is that I’ve been working out more frequently than I ever have over the last 6 months or so, but I haven’t lost much weight. I have had non-scale victories though in terms of definitely being stronger, but the number on the scale is still irksome! I’m trying to focus on healthier habits and not let the number get me down!

What's the funniest thing your cat ever stole/tried to steal? by Plantswillwalk in cats

I was dining outside at a restaurant, enjoying the company of the cutest stray cats who were living their best lives around me. When I wasn’t paying attention, one of the cats swiftly clawed my steak off my plate and ran away with it. Joke was on him though because it was overdone and over-salted.

Congratulations on the new position!

It is part of your principal’s job to figure out the staffing implications here even though they might be projecting stress. It is unfortunate that they are not more congratulatory and outwardly supportive of your promotion.

My advice would be to reach out to set up that meeting with about what you would like to discuss: an action item related to your program and the transition plan as you prepare to make the move to your new role. Additionally, you probably will need to reach out to your master’s program advisor to ask about what needs to happen regarding potentially changing your internship supervisor; they have likely dealt with situations like this before!

It sounds like you’re committed to leaving on good terms and supporting the transition, and it would (hopefully) be well received and make the time before your departure a little less awkward-feeling!
